I'm suffering acute side effects either from my condition (congestive heart failure) or from the drugs I take to regulate my heart. Can anyone help with any of the following :
Oedema in the legs and stomach - increased bumetanide sems to have reduced this a little.
Shooting pains - like electric shocks through my legs and feet. so sudden and acute they lift me out of my chair - every few minutes.
Incessant itching - all over my body. I have tried creams and anti-histamine tablets but they have been totally ineffective - this itching is driving me crazy.
I am unable to swallow because enlarged heart has reduced the size of the gullet, and often retch at the sight of food.
Heart Specialist team are wonderful - but they are Cardiac specialists and only seem to relate to matters physically related to the heart itself.

Dear fisherman, I have a similar condition (LVSD) and although I don't have the same symptoms you describe I think they are related to your drugs or condition and they should be something the cardiac team can help with. Do you have a Heart failure specialist nurse? I found them to be really helpful and especially with problems with the medication and able to make suggestions about related matters too. I hope that you can get some help with this!
