Bumetanide

My husband has been prescribed Bumetanide for water retention, because he stored the water around his middle but not his legs, however he has been feeling washed out since taking. Has anyone else had this reaction to this medication.

My husband is on bumetanide and has been for a while after decades of furusemide. The heart failure nurses told us it was more effective for those who store the fluid round the tummy area. He never had swollen ankles or feet. Now I'm on furusemide but my feet and ankles were swollen. I asked about bumetanide just weeks ago but they say because it's more effective it's best kept in reserve for the possibility of furusemide not doing the job well. Something to look forward to!!!!!!¡ My husband doesn't seem to have any side effects from that particular med.
