High Blood Pressure in young girl?
Hi everyone, thank you for reading this is a long post. I am 20 and 134 pounds, and never had a history of any illnesses. I was always healthy. I could run Miles and I would never get headaches wasn’t on any medications. So back in October of 2017 I started frequently peeing like 7-8 times at night

Bumetanide
Following my recent heart surgery which included an ablation I have been prescribed Bumetanide. Is anybody else taking this diaretic . I am left with a very dry mouth, eyes and flaky skin and have noticed that it is affecting my gums. I frightened of losing my teeth! As well as everything else that's

Multiple health issues.
I was finally diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called Liddles Syndrome after having gone through almost a year of hospitalizations, including one for kidney failure. The doctor that I was seeing had been my doctor since 2005. Since 2015 I was telling him something was wrong. I just didn’t feel right

Hi, I'm new to this...
Hello all, bit of a long story! My husband had a pacemaker fitted beginning of November, had to have the procedure twice as one of the leads had become detached. As a result the consultant stopped his diuretics for a few days because of possible upset to his kidneys. As a result he ended up with fluid

Amiloride
Hi, Anyone out there on this. I started taking it but it made me wee so much I stopped - I don't really know whether i need it or not as not sure I need a diuretic but thought I would ask here as it is going to take me a month to get back to see my GP for a routine appointment.

My Aunty aged 92 who has had some slight memory problems for some years stopped taking her tablets Equilis, Bisoprolol, Bumetanide, two months ago saying she was feeling fine and the tablets were not needed. The GP said that actually she was pretty good even though she was not taking them She has since

Is Amiloride an effective alternative to Spironolactone in treatment of Ascites from liver disease
Hello All, I have been taking Bumetanide (1 mg daily) and Spironolactone which is a potassium conserving diuretic (200 mg daily) for cica 2 years and this is to control ascites that has resulted from my AIH and Cirrhosis. It works reasonably well although ascitic fluid still continues to accumulate

What now?
Just about a year ago I had my 4th ablation. I was told to stay on all my drugs, Bisoprolol, Losartan, Bumetanide, Warfarin until ECG at a year marker. During the ablation they also found that I had Pulmonary Hypertension. Yesterday the ECG confirmed my suspicion that I had gone back into AF - I think

what meds can I ask Dr for with so many conditions?
I need painkillers off dr and she doesnt want me on more than paracetamol. Co codamol is contraindicated in emphysema. I do not believe it is unsafe for me to take every kind of painkillers nhs can offer. So am asking for names of painkillers please. I will check all info presented and then discuss

4th ablation done
Admitted at 7.30 am yesterday. Procedure at 1PM. Long wait. Took 5 hrs. Extremely sore throat. Horrendous headache. Never had that before. Allowed me to take my own Migraleve, followed up later by Paracetamol. Took about 6 hrs to go. Throat still bad. Successful but he doesn't think it will last long

New research treatment?
''Research funded by MS SOc into 2 drugs already used to treat other conditions could lead to the first treatments to prevent MS from progressing. MS causes damage to myelin, and the nerves can be damaged with the body unable to repair the damage. If we can protect these nerves from further damage then
