Active helicobacter pylori bacterial infection or not š¤ spoiler alert: 13C urea breath test was negative.
If the urea breath test is negative the gastroenterologist wants me to try a combination of Simalviane (
simeticone
and
alverine
citrate) and the alflorex+ probiotic (bifidobacterium longum 35624) for my IBS symptoms.

Remedy that works for me
Hi guys. Haven't been on here in a long time but recently I seem to have come across a combination of meds & supplements that really seem to have worked for me. So I've had IBS for over 30 years (mainly IBS C but regular episodes of IBS D too) and more or less managed it for many years, up until entering

IBS struggle
Hi. I've been struggling with IBS for a few years now. I am also allergic to dairy products. I try and have a healthy diet but it is very difficult. I eat low FODMAP dinners most days and have low FODMAP lunches when I'm at work. I take biomel powder in my banana and peanut butter smoothie twice a day

Alverine and/or Simalvia - (which is alverine citrate with simethicone.) Side effects.
I have recently been put on these. I have found that both the standard alverine citrate, which I had tried first, now the Simalvia, cause feelings of extreme anxiety about an hour after taking the tablet! Weird and not listed in the side effects. So far it seems ineffective on the pain anyway. Would

Endocrine Disruptors PBDEs Reduce T4 to T3 Conversion in the Brain
This study https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.chemrestox.5b00072 shows that PBDE flame retardants reduce type 2 deiodinase (DIO2) expression and activity in human brain cells. T4 enters the brain where it is converted to T3 in glial cells which then supply neurons with T3. This study shows PBDEs

struggling!!
Hi everyone, I hope youāre all doing ok. Iām hoping that someone will listen to me and offer a bit of empathy. I only have my husband to talk to and heās good but he really doesnāt get it. Iāve had IBS for many years but was formally diagnosed about ten years ago. For me it can be constipation or diarrhoea

Shortage of Simethicone?
Hi, I have found that over my years of experimenting with what works for my horrible bloating and gas that Simethicone is the only thing that works for me! However over the past year I have been struggling to find any OTC medications with it in! I began using Senocalm which then became unavailable everywhere

Clarification for Ppiman and Secondtry.........
Shyman calling. Ppiman had problems trying to reduce Omeprazole dosage. One of several drugs in the PPI family (Proton Pump Inhibitors). Blocking acid production to prevent reflux. I have found several medicines that help quieten the stomach and digestive issues. If calmness can be restored and maintained
