Hair loss: slightly high TSH vs. low ferritin?
I've had hair loss for a while - it kicked in after my daughter turned 1 I think - but it has really ramped up in the last couple months and I finally dragged myself to the GP to have some blood tests. I've had one round of tests back and need some input re the results: B12 = 390 (190-660 ng/L) TSH

The good the bad and the ugly
Well I haven't taken levo for a week now due to really bad side effects and some of the old symtoms have re- appeared, hair loss, slower bowel movements and a pulling sensation in my right eye. Mentally I feel much better and don't want to take more levo and become a walking zombie with headaches but

Can an accident/trauma affect our T3 levels ?
I am struggling at present with hypo like symptoms of tearfulness, low energy, shakiness, anxious/nervous, loss of confidence and a return of the pricking sensation from (low B12 I suppose). -all these symptoms have come on from an accident I had three weeks ago. I thought these were shock symptoms,

DOES NDT MAKE YOUR HAIR FALL OUT???
I wondered if anyone else has hair loss using NDT. The thing is my hair started to fall out last September at EXACTLY the same time i started to use Armour thyroid....its continued right up to date and I'm on Thiroyd NDT from Thailand which I've taken religiously since May, my TSH is down to 0.64 and

ok so the surgery agreed to a TSH test only and its down to 0.63 i have no idea what the T3/4 are doing and won't find out now for a few more weeks as i go on how next week. So with this chronic hair loss should i up my meds to 3 grains per day? I've been on 2.5 and thought just take an extra 1/2 grain

Hair loss advice please
Hi, I wonder if anyone can suggest the reason for my hair loss. I do not yet have bald patches. I have been suffering hair loss over the last few years. It does grow back. The loss is all over but worse at front. I have an auto immune disorder. It is not related to my medication (happened during med

Hair loss with lupus
I know that hair loss is a symptom of lupus. Has anyone here with a lupus diagnosis experienced hair loss on legs only, but still full hair on the head?

Scarring alopecia DLE
I would like to know if anyone out there with DLE scarring
alopecia
has been prescribed anything other than Dermovate and hydroxychloroquin. I have been on both for over seven months now and hairloss no better, in fact now far worse.

Hair loss ? :-(
Hey everyone. I've posted a couple of times this past month about how I've been suffering with mad itching. It's calmed down on my body but is getting worse on my scalp/neck/ears. I can't see any rash. But last night I was waking every half hour or so and staying awake itching my scalp like crazy. I'm

Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia and Steroid Injections
Hi all. I've just joined this site as yesterday I was diagnosed with FFA. My dermatologist gave me steroid injections and then some cream for my eyebrows. He said it was very rare because I'm a 35 yr old man. Since reading up on it I'm now concerned that the steroid injections may do more harm than good

Continuing Hairloss nightmare
Outcome of meeting- to check iron and vitamin d were in middle range for 2 months and, if still shedding, start minoxidil or other cobweb was possibly to have scalp biopsy as my dad had tiny bald patch 10 years ago and could be resorted to that and rare form of diffuse

Update
Hi all I have now lost 90% of my hair with no signs of regrowth. I got my husband to trim the remaining straggly bits off. I saw my dermatologist a month ago, all he could offer was a strong course of steroids which he said may or may not help, and, even if there was some hair growth it could all fall

is hair loss due to lack of T3?
i am wondering what the main reason for my hair loss is, during this horrid time of trying to get well again... my t4 is not working at all... does this mean i am not getting a conversion to t3? is this why i feel so ill and have major hair thinning?
