Split T3 dose effectively
Does anybody know how to effectively split a T3 dose? It is really cumbersome to split some tablets, as they crumble and don't divide easily. I'm currently grinding the T3 tablet into a fine powder and then mix it thoroughly with magnesium glycinate powder. I then form a line of powder which i separate

Can anyone advise supplements to help with Hair loss and Thinning?
I have Hashimoto's and I'm losing my hair - no bald patches as yet but very thin on top and very brittle. It feels like a handfuls come out every time I comb it. I'm on 100mcg Levo, though this has just been increased from 75mcg in the last few days. I notice that Biotin seems to be recommended but

Hair Loss and Thyroid
A lot of posts describe loss of hair coinciding with thyroid deficiency or what is believed to be inadequate treatment. The BTF page on thyroid function and hair loss makes a very important point. A patient may think that hair loss after treatment is due to the inadequacy of the suggested dosage of whatever

Hashimoto's and Alopecia Areata
But over the past year and a half I have now been suffering from
Alopecia
Areata, 4 bald patches in total. I am concerned it is linked to my thyroid, but my doctors just said it was due to stress. Unfortunately I don't have any recent blood test results, but I am due one in about a weeks time.

HRT compounds and hair loss
The first hrt prescribed to me to treat hair loss, was norethisterone based. Unfortunately, it scarred my scalp. Norethisterone is an androgen based compound so if your scalp is sensitive to testosterone. It will not increase or cause your hair loss. So is helpful to know the compounds in hrt's available

Liver kidneys, iron ferritin serum transferrin and hair loss
Can anyone help me understand my blood tests. A private dermatologist recently took some bloods after prescribing finasteride. I took the drug four months and discontinued as it shrunk my hair follicles. My scalp now looks dramatically worse, thanks to this drug. It didn't increase hair loss but didn't

How much will timing and biotin affect results?
I recently had blood drawn in the doctor´s office, around 11 am. I told him that 1. I had taken levo around midnight the previous day (so about 11 h earlier); 2. I am on a vit B complex containing biotin. He said it wouldn´t matter as levo (unlike lio) results in stable levels 24/7 and that he had

Trying to find a solution for my never ending hair loss . After reaserching this morning I’ve found the above fir hair loss . My question to all you knowledgable folks on HU is will this product be detrimental for T3 only users ? I presume this product contains seaweed - just a wild guess Thanks 😊

Pamidronate side effects
Biopsies on my scalp have been inclonclusive and doctors are reluctant to make the connection with pamidronate despite
alopecia
being listed as one of the main side effects of biphosphates. Now 18 months later my once thick hair is now wafer thin and still thinning.

Sudden and dramatic hair loss
I am 59 and have been treated for hypothyroidism. In the last month I have lost 80% of my hair. Blood tests all ok but having to wait for dermatologist appointment. I lost it from the sides and top and at first thought it was FFA because of the behind ear across the top and down to behind other ear baldness
