Trying to find a solution for my never ending hair loss .
After reaserching this morning I’ve found the above fir hair loss . My question to all you knowledgable folks on HU is will this product be detrimental for T3 only users ?
I presume this product contains seaweed - just a wild guess
Likely to need separate B12 as well when vegetarian
Igennus Super B is good quality and cheap vitamin B complex. Contains folate. Full dose is two tablets per day. Many/most people may only need one tablet per day. Certainly only start on one per day (or even half tablet per day for first couple of weeks)
Or Thorne Basic B is another option that contain folate, but is large capsule
IMPORTANT If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
If B12 result below 500, recommended to be taking a B12 supplement as well as a B Complex (to balance all the B vitamins) initially for first 2-4 months, then once your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), stop the B12 and just carry on with the B Complex.
The present review of the literature regarding B12 status among vegetarians shows that the rates of B12 depletion and deficiency are high. It is, therefore, recommended that health professionals alert vegetarians about the risk of developing subnormal B12 status. Vegetarians should also take preventive measures to ensure adequate intake of this vitamin, including the regular intake of B12 supplements to prevent deficiency. Considering the low absorption rate of B12 from supplements, a dose of at least 250 μg should be ingested for the best results.3
Wow thank you so much it your input , I never realised that the B vitamins contained Soya .
I do have Hasimotos and I am gluten free too . I’m celebrating my first year of GF In March . I will be honest though I did have one blip on Thursday .. I ate a bread cake and felt bad after .
However I do follow strict GF and vegetarian diet . I keep off packaged foods too
I had two negative coeliac blood tests, 20 years apart
But, by 2016, after 25 years on levothyroxine, I was all by but immobile.
Seeing just how many members benefited from GF decided ....(Out of desperation)... to try it. Astounded that had Significant and almost immediate reduction in symptoms
Had immediate private endoscopy and this confirmed severe gluten intolerance as if coeliac....
gastroenterologist was astonished I wasn’t coeliac, so organised coeliac DNA test via NHS .....result was ambivalent
Just read your Bio very detailed and interesting thank you so much for sharing I wish I’d had done the same as you as it’s good to add to and use as a reference.
I restarted my probiotics tonight thanks to amazing Amazon for delivering early 😃hopeful they’ll help
You too find Mercury pharma T3 to be weak in potency , things never change with that company they always lower the strength of their T3 ever since taking over from Goldshield . I don’t rate their T3
You should still have a test to confirm or not that you have Pernicious Anaemia. With low B12 we can supplement but with P.A. we cannot absorb B12 and need injections.
I was advised on here to check iron and B vitamins when my hair was coming out and I took both every other day ferroglobin and b complex and slightly up my thyroid dose and it is now growing back
Thanks Ali , I noticed yesterday that my left eyebrow has almost disappeared . Must be thyroid related but I cannot increase my T3 as I’m under the endo .
I’ve been recommended a hair shampoo bar from lush called New , it’s made from cinnamon, mint, clove , and other natural ingredients that stimulate your hair follicles. I’ve ordered some might rub it on my brows too 😄 Thought I’d share to others xxxx
