Lupus panel and kidney question
Can Plaquenil cause a normally positive anti-dsdna to be negative? Reason I ask is bc currently I'm in a bad flare. My c3/c4 (c3-61.5, c4-5.1) are low and they re-tested them two more times within a month and they're all low. Within that time frame they had me do a 24 urine bc they were concerned of

POSITIVE ANA but negative antibodies.
Hello there. I have had many symptoms and flares. Went to the GP and bloodwork showed positive ANA homeogenous pattern, but the tier (Antibodies) came back negative. So he ruled out Lupus and said it was stress and anxiety and had the audacity to say it can be psychological. I about cried when he told

Sorry for banging on about this, but I'm still confused about what tests have been done! Can any one shed any more light? So, I posted recently that the doctor had said I'd had a positive 'lupus test' last summer, followed by a positive lupus anti coagulant test in November. He re ran the 'lupus test

Could this be something else other than raynaud's?
Hi everyone. I have had raynaud's for about 3-4 years now. Only ever had a problem with cold hands but in thr last 3-4 months it's significantly worse despite using nefedipine at the optimal dose. My right hand swells up and the skin cracks and becomes painful. Lasting a week or so. I was referred to

Burning skin
Hello I hope you don't mind me posting here. I don't have MS (as far as I know) but I have a huge list of weird symptoms and am having real trouble getting help from my GP. My newest symptom is an area of painful skin over one shoulder blade and extending into my armpit on the same side. It feels like

Positive ANA 1:80
Hi everyone hope all are well. So I had a hospital appointment for another reason and mentioned I was awaiting an ANA result. She had a look for me and said it had come back and is positive 1:80 and speckled bit couldn't tell me anymore as it is out of her field. Advised me to chase it up with my GP.

Positive auto antibodies
Hi all Can anyone tell me if positive auto antibodies is the same as positive ANA or could it mean anything? prior to an op when I had blood tests (in case you need a transfusion) I got called back to have them taken again as a matter of urgency, consequently it took longer to find a match and instead

Early treatment
Hi there, I haven't yet been diagnosed with scleroderma, but at this point with the symptoms I'm fairly confident that it's going to be. My first rheumatologist appointment is in a few weeks. I'm 29 and male and here's a quick summary of the symptoms which these began 7 months ago: - Close family history

Positive ANA test, what does this mean?
Hi, It’s my first time posting on here. I’ve had a multitude of symptoms that I’ve been trying to find an answer for ☹️ My main symptom is fatigue, feels like I’m coming down with something all the time and if I do get a cold or something it wipes me out. I had a Antinuclear test done privately and

Positive ana then negative?
Hi my ana was positive and recently had I checked privately through medichecks. It's came back negative. Still in the process of trying to get a diagnosis. Has this happened to anyone else and does it still count as it was positive previously?

Plaquenil, Amitriptyline and now Cymbalta
Hi Again, (this is a followup to a previous post) So I went to see my regular doctor as a couple of you had suggested. I explained about waking up hot and cold while taking the Plaquenil and Amitriptyline and feeling worse than ever lately. The doctor printed out the letter sent to her from the Rheumatologist
