Why dark circles will appear under eyes even though i used to drink water regularly?
My ANA speckled positive[2+] from the past 1.5 years. my lupes is negative. i have auto immune heamolytic anemia and auto immune antithyrodities previously. i used medicines for 1.2 years. Doctors advised me to stop all the medicines and come back for regular check up after 3 months as my CBC, thyroid

Going round in circles! Help with blood tests please.
Hi there Sorry is this is a little long, I appreciate anyone who reads on. Hard to know where to begin but have been feeling ill for around 4 years with lots of varied symptoms some of which come and go, some which hang around. But they include severe fatigue, muscle weakness/pain, hair loss on head

Evening all, so story so far, consultant advises I have pbc, had the scan a raft of blood tests. Just had liver biopsy last week and started on urso 2 x. 300m per day. Finally today got a copy of consultants letter to my doc updating them on diag. It states previously positive AMA, raised IGM, and positive

Hi to everyone I don't think I have posted before but regularly read comments and info on this site. It is very comforting and supportive
to realise that there are people out there that have similar if not exactly the same health issues and that I am not a hypochondriac as suggested by a lady consultant years ago. I was wondering if anyone can as i am now very confused. Years ago I was diagnosed with RA then about 7 years ago I was diagnosed

Professor Graham Hughes' March blog
Another record! The coldest March for 50 years! It's nearly a year since the UK's drought warning and it hasn't stopped raining since. Let's hope Easter brings a change! Earlier this week, my colleague Professor Munther Khamashta excitedly showed me a report taken from a recent American Academy of

ANA Test
Just got off the phone to my GP my blood test were abnormal, and the doctor has accepted my telephone request for the ANA test, form awaiting me at the local hospital! I have an appointment then to see GP on 24th April. I'm hoping this is going to result in a referral to a specialist, not bad considering

Blood tests
Anyone have an idea how long I'm likely to wait for my results, I understand that some tests take time to "culture" or something like that, but I just asked the doctor to add on a ANA test as I've read it's result is a good indicator of Lupus,I've not heard back from him yet with an answer. Fingers crossed

Tiny red dots on skin
I've just come back from beach holiday and while I was there staying in the shade on our deck, while hubby was sunning himself, I've noticed I now have some tiny red dots on my skin. They are not raised, don't itch and look like pinpricks. They are not in a particular pattern, and are spread out on

First blog, recently diagnosed with sle, Hughes and pots syndrome this year.
Hi there, just thought I'd introduce myself this seems like a good forum to be part of! I've had an awful start to the year and on 15th Feb I was diagnosed with SLE with Antiphospholipid Syndrome after developing a DVT in each calf.... With no risk factors since I'm only 19! The diagnosis came about
