Lump in throat following hemithyroidectomy
Hello all,I wake up in the morning with a strong sensation of a lump at the base of my throat. As I had surgery in December 23 I was expecting some discomfort for a while but it's not improving. It is worse in the morning then fades somewhat during the day but never fully goes away. I would like to speak

Advice on latest thyroid test
I am seeing GP tomorrow regarding latest blood tests. Currently take 125mg levothyroxine. TSH 0.32 (-65%) 0.35-4.94 T4 15.3 (62.38%) 9-19.1 T3 4.3 (52.78%) 2.4-6.0 TSH was flagged as Abnormal so GP will mention that - it was 1.08 in Feb and 1.25 last October (same ranges) but no T4 or T3 tested.

Change to Levo timings/splitting dose?
After PM in with a very helpful Forumite, she has given me the idea of splitting my dose. One part in the morning and one part later in the day. I think this is worth pursuing for two reasons. 1.) My night time heart racing is a blooming nuisance if nothing else. 2.) I am getting the sense that my

coeliac safe Levo?
I have been taking levo for five years. 6 months into this I was diagnosed with coeliac disease (after my GP accused me of not taking my meds as my bloods kept coming back with no change and I was still very unwell). I asked my pharmacist at the drs to find me a gluten free levo tablet. They said TEVA

I started 50mg Levothyroxine around 2 months ago. About 2 weeks in I started to have awful insomnia. I can't fall asleep until around 4 in the morning and then get up with my son around 6am when I take my tablet. I crash badly about 4pm and if I'm able to will sometimes have a nap then but it would only

Is Levo the Pro Harmone any use at all?
I have been reading two books of Paul Robinson's: The Patient's Thyroid Manual and The Recovering from T3 books The question I have is something he writes about, which is: If more levo is taken and TSH reduces, then this process has a knock on effect hindering the T4 to T3 conversion. Therefore,

Where to buy Levo?
Hiya, My recent TSH result was much higher than I wanted (4.6), but apparently that is not enough to convince my doctor to prescribe more. 'Acceptable range' apparently, even though we all know differently. Can anyone DM me any websites where I can buy some myself please? Thanks, Mids_thyman.

What dose increase do you reckon?
I've been on 50mg of levo for 2 months. Just had bloods redone and results are: T4 15.9 (11.9-21.6) T3 4.4 (3.9-6.8) TSH 2.69 (0.27-4.20 (Before T4 was 11.4 and TSH was 4.16) I haven't got an appointment with my end for another 4 weeks as he's away. What dose do you think I'll end up being

New test results as been feeling yuk.
Decided to have another Medichecks two days ago, now six weeks post covid negative. I’ve been quite hyper, getting hung up on cleaning, sleep is all over the place, full of rage so I knew things weren’t right. Craving coffee (rationing to 2 a day) and sugar - my mouth doesn’t even want to realise I’m

Why do all my symptoms suggest hyperthyroid if my results show hypo?
Hi everyone! I got my thyroid results about a month ago - first time ever tested. My GP initially wanted to test my thyroid because of these symptoms: sudden severe anxiety, trouble sleeping, shakiness, palpitations. I've also had increased sweating and some diarrhoea (not bad). I've lost some weight

Tirosint - can anyone advise how I can find out if this brand is available in my area?
I am struggling to access lactose free Levothyroxine at my GP surgery’s pharmacy and have read that Tirosint has fewer excipients than most brands of T4 and wondered if anyone could advise me the best way forward for accessing this brand/or other similar brands? Many thanks.

GP and TSH
After being parred off by my gp who was stating how tsh works and because my tsh is 0.008, i have too much levothyroxine in my body.He said to reduce my levo to 75mcg.I've currently increased to 125mcg. I'm feeling the best I've been for a long time and really don't want to feel rubbish again. I've left

Crescent Levothyroxine
I was diagnosed hypothyroid (Hashimotos) around a year ago, and have been on 75mcg Teva since then, with no side effects. I picked up my latest prescription from the pharmacy today, and they have given me 75mcg Crescent brand. Has anyone had any experience of changing from Teva to Crescent, and did
