Hormonal therapy and Meningioma brain tomors
Back in 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 4A (regionally metastatic) Ductal Prostate Cancer. In addition to surgery and radiation I was on Lupron and Zytiga with prednisone for a couple of years, ending in late 2018. Luckily for me it looks like I was able to make it to remission. Unfortunately in 2019

Mum with CBD
Good morning It's been a while since I wrote on here. My mum got diagnosed with CBD in 2017 we were told in January 2020 she had 4 weeks left to live and was moved into a care home for palliative care. Thankfully she is still with us. Hasn't eaten and been bed bound now for 4 years. She survives on 6

First results after switching to NDT. Help pls ...
Hi beautiful people, I shared a number of posts here about my thyroid journey. I switched to Erfa brand NDT 2 weeks ago after being on levo for 2 decades. I started from 0.5 grain, increased to 1 grain and then to 1,5 grains. I've been on 1,5 grains for about 5 days now. I checked my bloods 2 weeks

Ruminating on Extending ADT&Zytiga beyond 18 months
MO said we can consider stopping
ADT
at 18 months. My concern is there no good trials looking at High/ Very high risk locally advanced PCA and length of time of
ADT
. Only guidance 18 months to 36 months.

one final chance of survival
hi, Yesterday I posted an update about my mum and her icu journey. I have a further update I would like to share. From her ct the original infection is finally clearing up. She has a lot of fluid around her lungs and pneumonia at the bottom that the antibiotics are not clearing. They said the chance

PSA rising - When to get a PSMA PET scan?
I'm curious what doctors and researchers are saying about when to do a PSMA PET scan in response to recurrent measurable PSA after
ADT
. I had an RP in 2015. That gave me 8 months of undetectable PSA.

leg weakness with prolapse
Hi. I have been suffering from incontinence back pain, weak legs, very painful to have sex for years at least 12 if not more. I was always very fit. I have two sons who I played squash with swam 100 lengths of our local pool every morning before going to work in my full time job where I lifted heavy

Antidepressants and ED
I've been on
ADT
for 4.5 years. Lupron and Zytiga. We all know the sexual health problems with that. I was getting depressed quite badly at times so I started Citalopram a few days ago. It's already helping but I have noticed a bit more ED. Maybe I have to give it some time to see.

Using transdermal E2
Ronron's posts about using E2 instead of
ADT
have been interesting. Who else has used? If so: 1. Has anyone switched from using Lupron (or any 1st or 2nd level
ADT
, such as Firmagon, abiraterone, etc.) directly to transdermal E2? 2.

Current PCa treatment options in the UK do NOT include Triplet Therapy!
Apparently, the UK "gold standard" of treatment is to give a de novo APC patient either
ADT
+ AR or
ADT
+ chemo but not all three at the same time. They strongly recommend that I start with Prostap + Enzalutamide.

Lack of NDT?
Hi there, a couple of ladies I know who are prescribed NDT are being told that there's none available. Does anyone know if this is a nationwide problem and if it is, why this is happening? Thank you, Julie

Osteoporosis risk with suppressed TSH
Many of the endocrinologist I've encountered seem to be vexed with borderline sociopathy, lurking beneath grimacing, slightly tolerant demeanors. However, the last one seemed to be merely friendly and inept. Recent communication from current specialist: "Having a low TSH can increase your risk for heart

NDT dosing confusion, how to make it work?
Hi All, Trying to understand the NDT dosing and if it's working for me. They say 1 grain of Erfa is about 100 McG of levo. However, 1 grain only gives you 38 McG of T4. So if I was on 88 McG of levo before NDT and I now take 1 grain of NDT instead, I only get 38 McG of T4? How does the 1 grain equals

Localized High Risk Pca (G9 4+5) questions
Questions I have: With a PSMA pet scan as being clear, do I need
ADT
therapy? I believe the standard of care is 2 years with radiation with high risk PCa. PSMA Pet scans are new, and not sure if there is clinical evidence, but with a clear scan, perhaps
ADT
therapy should be reviewed.

Am I a poor converter?
I've just had my latest blood test results after starting 50mg Levothyroxine 6 weeks ago:TSH 1.65 (0.27-4.2) FT4 15.9 (12-22) 39% through range FT3 3.4 (3.1-6.8) 8% through range FT4:FT3 ratio is therefore 4.7. Just before starting Levothyroxine, my results were: TSH 5.88 FT4 12 FT3 3.44 FT4:FT3
