I have had Hashies for about 2 years now. I am completely gluten free. My TSH levels hover around 4.8 so doctor won’t give me Levo. My antibodies are well out of range My CRP is just over 5. My ferritin is also way out of range. I've had constipation, bloating and gas for many years. Muscle and joint aches, absolutely no libido and weight gain. I’ve just bought some 40mg porcine thyroid tablets but only because I thought they were NDT. I now understand that they aren’t. Can anyone tell me which they have tried and whether their antibodies went down. Any other suggestions for lowering antibodies greatly appreciated.

Hi and thanks for getting back to me. The private GP list isn't working for me, it says the form can't be submitted ? I always do my tests by 8am after plenty of water.
My TSH is 4.87
FT3 is 4.0
FT4 is 13.3
Thyroglobulin 462
Peroxidase 113
Vit D is 139
Folate is 40.7
B12 is 150
Ferritin is 272
I am working with a naturopath and am on a variety of supplements and herbal capsules.
I did see a different doctor at my surgery and took a list of my symptoms and asked to try Levo for just 3 months and she agreed. ( my named doctor would let me until my TSH got to 10 🤬 ). Of course on the Levo my TSH went down to approx 1.7 if memory serves ! She then emailed the endocrinologist who told her to take me off the Levo. Couldn't understand why I had my antibodies tested and sounded quite angry about it. My surgery doesn't do antibody blood test as they don't treat Hashies, even though it's an autoimmune disease, it beggers comprehensive 😱
I thought about trying NDT as I read about it in Be Your Own Thyroid Advocate and the author has very good results with it. I've just bought a bottle of 40mg porcine thyroid to try.
If I take Levo I'll have to get it privately as my doctor won't prescribe it until the TSH gets to 20. Being a proactive person rather than reactive this frustrates me. O.K rant over 😂😂 Thanks again.

Thanks for that. I have had a couple of private messages but they've only suggested brands that they have been using and I'm a naturally suspicious person so will be careful 😊 Thanks again.
If anyone tells you where you can buy these brands and it's not one you've used before, do contact admin to see if we have any feedback about the source.
