Lack of NDT?

Hi there, a couple of ladies I know who are prescribed NDT are being told that there's none available. Does anyone know if this is a nationwide problem and if it is, why this is happening? Thank you, Julie

I have found no suggestion there is an Armour Thyroid shortage in the USA.

Very often, if there is a shortage of, say, ERFA, then that affects Armour - at least for a while.

But there could well be an issue in getting it sent to UK and then distributed as needed. I simply don't know.

Thank you, I do know one of the ladies takes Armour Thyroid. Ah, ok. Hopefully, it will resolve very soon. Thanks for your help, everybody.

There is a list of pharmacies on the Thyroid UK website. Your friends can ring round these and see if they can get what they are looking for. They will need to specify the brand of NDT.
