Hurthle Cell adenoma

I read it usually happens to women ages 70-80 but I was 27 when I had a golf ball sized hurthle cell adenoma removed along with half my thyroid. The only symptom prior to that was fatigue for about a decade. I don't hear much talked about it and not a lot written on the subject. Thank you

Anastrazole Side Effects Similar to Parathyroid Issues

I had to have another operation to remove the overactive gland and adenoma in September 2019 and so far I haven't experienced anything like the previous symptoms.

“A high TSH indicates an under-active thyroid”

Although the reasons are rare (adenoma, thyroid hormone resistance), there are cases. And we usually keep being misdiagnosed, because doctors fail to look beyond ‘high TSH=hypo’. I’m hyperthyroid at present.

Pituitary adenoma?

Pituitary adenoma? I was checked for this because sister has one but I did not want to use contrast, so nothing was seen. I think I might have it though because my TSH is high, I have low libido and no periods. Anyone have this?

Adenoma carcinoma with bone and brain mets

Good evening My mum was diagnosed in May with adenoma carcinoma with bone mets to her vertebrae. In July she started having seizures a CT scan showed no tumours but when she had an MRI scan it showed extensive brain mets. We were told that she had days to live.

Pituitary tumour in pregnancy

I'm 29 weeks with my second boy (I was diagnosed with a 20mm macro-adenoma 6 weeks before I feel pregnant) and can find very little much information from women in a similar position.

I was diagnosed with both PMR&GCA in September 2014 I have finally managed to get down to 2mg of Prednisolone.

It’s been a long journey with other health problems developing on the way ( Duodenal adenoma in July 2017 then a Leaky Mitral valve in my heart in June 2019) I am lucky enough to be feeling fairly well, a few aches and pains in the morning which usually pass after an hour or so.

Hello

I suggested via Dr Google that the nodule could be a solitary toxic adenoma. I was sent for an US but no diagnosis was offered, just that it was the same size as last time. They seem to have lost interest.

Results help please

Results- benign adenoma. These are the results of my 6 week Post op blood test. Prior to this I’ve been ‘euthyroid’, my TSH result had ranged between 2.5 and 3.2. I do have symptoms as per my previous posts, lately have been putting on weight, dry skin, restless legs.

Possible early symptoms of MS?

They did a head MRI & apart from my Pituitary Adenoma nothing remarkable showed up. I had a spine MRI 2 years ago and I have 2 bulging discs, but again nothing remarkable. I haven’t had a spinal tap! Sounds painful! I am currently under ENT, Lymphedema Clinic; Endocrinology.

Tinnitus......

In 2018 she had a lump (pleomorphic adenoma) removed from her salivary gland and was also told she had a lump on her thyroid (but a follow up scan showed this to be shrinking) - however, her tinnitus started around the same time the lumps occurred.

Totally lost having had my blood test results

I had 1/2 my thyroid removed in 2004 due to an Adenoma, then the rest removed in 2018 after a cancer scare. I only started Levo after my 2018 surgery. I've been unwell since about 1995 when I first had a cyst drained from my thyroid of 95ml of fluid.

How are your calcium and PTH levels?

I had RAI treatment for Graves 40 years ago. 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with a parathyroid adenoma and had that removed.

Liver adenoma?

I'm from the UK and 2017 I was admitted into hospital after right shoulder and upper quadrant pain which turned out to be a bleed in my liver of 8x9cm and after a week in hospital I was referred to a heptologist who then diagnosed me with a liver adenoma and changed the BC pill I was on.

Questions for endocrinologist

I asked my GP about the possibility of a pituitary adenoma but he said I would have other symptoms such as headaches and vision problems if that was the case. (I have bilateral normal tension glaucoma but after trabeculectomy in both eyes, my vision has been stable.)
