Hello my Husband was admitted to our local hospital in August 2019 , with a huge fluid build up, whilst in there it was mentioned he had Heart failure and trace of asbestos in his lungs. On discharge there was no mention of any lung problems and he has been seen by HF nurses. 7 months down the line

Permanent AF and A flutter but rate control reasonable but permanent erratic rhythm AF is this something you can live ?
Permanent AF and A flutter- rate reasonable but rhythm not AV node ablation was on the cards but not now as rate under control, I am little concerned as I do have moderate heart failure as well. I have a pacemaker to control bradycardia and sinus pauses which is great, but the rhythm is so erratic

I find if you go on the internet it can be quite scary if you read about AF it can lead to heart damage and other complications. Is this a real concern or as long as we are controlling Af like I am with medications anticoagulant and keeping BP done and diabetes type 2 under control it is not necessarily

Inulin - may help sleep and constipation
My daughter recently bought me some inulin to try as she had heard it can help you sleep. I can't honestly say it helped me sleep at the time, but a side effect is that it is helpful with bowel movements!! More recently I took some on holiday with me - for my bowels, and this time I do think it helped

I've recently been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, mainly due to my high blood pressure which has now stabilised due to medication. Does anyone else have experience of CKD ?

More blood results
It does appear that I am experiencing
acute
renal
failure
( renal function in June was top of the range!) so I’m now being investigated. The above results are causing my GP no concern at the moment. I’ve stopped my Vit D supplement. Any thoughts regarding the above would be appreciated.

Dietary Restrictions to Prolong the Life of a Kidney Transplant
It has been found that if patients substitute soya or some vegetable source for the animal proteins they normally eat and severely restrict the amount of salt they normally consume they can significantly slow the decline of renal transplants. From personal experience I can say that such a diet really

DIL vs SLE - Anti Histone Antibody
Hi everyone, Been awhile since I posted so blessings to you all! I'm posting this in the hopes someone has some knowledge of this topic or knows someone who could answer some questions in more depth than I can find online. As some of you know, I have a bit of a weird storyline that led to my diagnosis

Newest Test Lab result shows increase of eGFR
Hi everyone, I have done the lab after 3 months of first diagnosed as CKD stage 2 and just received both good news and bad news on it. Good news: eGFR increased from 82 to 97.5 and Albuminuria is no more occurring. Bad news: My HbA1c is 6.4%, which is showing that I am severely at the threshold between
