Hello I have had Hashimoto’s since I was 16, and never had a positive Ana, I’m now 39 with positive ana of 1:40 and homogeneous pattern has anyone seen this happen with thyroid disease only?

Hi Litha, i have ANA, speckled, but no accompanying indicators of lupus, rheumatoid arthritis etc. I was referred to a rheumatologist who was very dismissive and said the ANA was connected to my thyroid (Hashimoto).
I also have positive ana, but no lupus, rheumatoid etc, was told my hashimotis possibly caused this
