can I ask a question.
Can I ask it’s two years Mar 2021 since HA had a stent I did see cardiologist the first year. Are you supposed to have checks to see how things are going just wanted to know. Thank you.

I want to feel normal again
I had a CABG X 3. 5 months ago was hoping to feel at least a bit better by now but just feel worse. The cardiologist has said the way I’m feeling is nothing to do with the surgery. My chest pain is gone but I’m breathless and unable to walk far. I could walk farther a few weeks ago than I can now. I

Calling all patients who have had a heart valve surgery or a TAVI
Hello lovely ones! Some of you may know me already - I had a 2x CABG last Jan, aged 34. Well today is my 36th birthday! I am happy and healthy :D The reason I am posting is that I am hopefully moving in to the world of cardio industry, I was previously in clinical nutrition and artifical feeding.

recent heart attack
Hello everyone. I had my heart attack three weeks ago this coming Thursday-I was on my narrow boat and actually thought I was having a bizarre panic attack. Anyway to cut a longish story short my partner called an ambulance, they broke the news ‘now don’t panic Lee but you are having a heart attack’

couldn’t fit a stent, what’s next?
Hi, in February I had a big heart attack after suffering a few in the past. I was admitted to hospital where they tried to fit another stent but couldn’t due to calcification in the LAD. I was discharged with new medication, however I’m anxious to know what’s next. Do I need bypass surgery? With

pramipexole shortage
I have taken pramipexole for RLS over 15 years. Before that I took Ropinirole, which lost its effectiveness. There is hardly any 0.18 mg (180 mcg) left in any Leeds pharmacies . I got just half my prescribed amount today. Without it I shall never sleep again, but be a writhing mess. One reads in the

I’ve made a year.
Hi all, well yesterday the 17th was my first birthday, 1 year since my quadruple CABG. There has been ups and downs and there still is, but I’m still here and that’s the main thing as I should never have survived the first HT according to the surgeon and other cardiologist’s. I just hope it doesn’t go

Hi. I had a mild heart attack in October 2021, one stent fitted. Follow up echocardiogram ecg in April 2022, all good, told no further appointments unless there's any problems. I am currently on Candesartan, Bisoprolol, Omeprazole, Aspirin and Rosuvastatin. No one has reviewed this since October 2022

Unstable angina symptoms after stent!
Hi all I had a stent put in yesterday and I was fine after the procedure. Woke in the night with mild angina pain but managed to fall back to sleep eventually. The pain is worse today...constant when resting. Gt spray does nothing to relieve the pain. Same with Relosorb. Just wondering if this is normal

Update on CABG
Good morning everyone. Finally getting to see Cardiologist on tuesday after my referral for the surgery was overlooked. I was in hospital again two days ago, basically sitting at home, felt nausea kick in and my resting heart rate went up to 168bpm and blood pressure 153/102 😒 . Usual scenario in A

Ticagrelor 6 or 12 months post HA and stents
Hi Can anyone advise why the prescribing of ticagrelor differs between geographical areas, some direct 6 months and some 12 months post stent and heart attack. Is there any short concise research I could read on the rationale/ outcome for length of prescribing?

Pins and needles
I am 4 weeks post HA and stent. In the last week have been waking up in the night with pins and needles down left side. Was bad last night and took 3 hrs to get back to sleep due to resulting anxiety. Spoke to my cardiac nurse who says it's nothing to do with the drugs. She says none of them have that

Advice pls- FET or endometrial testing
Hi ladies, Would appreciate your advice on my situation. Had an MMC at 7 wks in Oct 22 (4th transfer and first time I’ve ever had a positive pregnancy test). It took nearly 2 months for me to naturally have a period after. I had some miscarriage/ implantation testing with a university research clinic

augmentation on neupro+Gabapentin. should I switch to a different dopamine agonist? All that’s helping is cannabis.
I’ve been on Neupro 1mg patches for 4+ years. I also currently take 800mg Gabapentin: 400mg twice a day. In the last month my RLS symptoms have appeared nightly beginning around 9:30pm. I’m able to fall asleep but then wake up in the middle of the night with RLS symptoms. The only thing that’s helped

Left atrial enlargement
Hello!I was wondering if anyone has experience of this. What can be done about it, is it reversible with optimal levo? For context, I have Hashi's, I'm 51 and currently experiencing another bout of terrible anxiety ( last time was 5 years ago). Tests have discovered the enlarged LA. I don't have any
