Saw 2nd Endo Today
Ok so I did wind up fasting (no coffee until 4:00 this afternoon!) and saw my second Endo this morning at 9:45. I had sent a fax outlining my symptoms along with my previous bloodwork. Dr did test for testing metabolic rate and it showed that I have been eating 430 calories LESS than what I burn, so

ACTH test - help with interpretation please
Hello again.... forgive me for posting yet another question.... still in the fact finding stage! I'm questioning everything my gp has told me in the past, so I'm just revisiting an acth test my gp agreed to to rule out Addison's (she was not interested in finding out about adrenal Fatigue as such ) I

I have finally got my appointment to see an Endo, but it's not until the end of May. As I am already taking 7.5 mgs of Pred. I can only assume I'm not a priority. Does anyone know what I can expect when seeing the Endo, I have already had the ACTH test, are there other tests to be done ? thanks

Cover ups by NHS
I put some posts on some time ago re my daughter and the unethical treatment she received. This is an update of how far drs will go to cover up previous medical negligence and some of the previous 'treatment' she received. 1) manipulation of the facts by drs to 'explain' their own lack of investigation

Labtestsonline- a great resource for understanding your blood test results - irrespective of health condition tested, not only your Thyroid. I have just for the 1st time in months, looked at their app again, and on opening was asked to update - there were over 150 updates - containing much more information

No energy at all.
I'm male, almost 31, diagnosed with AMN and adrenal insufficiency almost two years ago. I have no energy. Just none. I get ten hours of sleep most nights and still feel exhausted in the morning. I saw my endocrinologist last Monday and he ordered blood tests. My testosterone and thyroid are fine, but

Hormones
Had my adrenal glands checked. Cortisol, Aldosterone, Testosterone, all fine, nothing to worry about. A small relief in all this madness. The rapid ACTH test was not pleasant, but it had to be done. I know some of us have Addison's, how many of us have had our hormones thoroughly checked out? A weight

Primary vs. Secondary Addison's Disease
Hey guys, Does anyone have any experience with Addison's? I went to the Endo a while back for a bunch of weird symptoms. My doctor confirmed Hashimoto's but my thyroid is still in range, so she won't/can't medicate me. However, she did test my cortisol and it came back low. I went in for another blood

Struggling with GP and diagnosis
Is there anyone else who thinks some doctors who go through their apppointments are on autopilot and don't consider the impact this has on a patient? My GP gave me bloot test forms for cortisol and acth but ommitted to tell me they should be taken at specific times and to avoid stress and exercise before

Question re further tests to be carried out by GP
At the PAS conference it was suggested by one of the speakers that I try introducing Methylcobalamin into my regime substituting it for some of my daily Hydroxocobalamin injections since I have various neurological problems and also extreme heat intolerance. My body starts to shut down in anything above

Hi everyone, Firstly, I hope you ALL have a restful and relaxing Christmas. Well, I am in a bit of a mess really..........I have a under-active thyroid - been taking NDT (natural dessignated thyroid), (my last TSH reading was 3.7 - which I know is too high). I also have Adrenal problems (Both my Cortisol

HI, I'M BACK!
I am concerned because of course the adrenal gland is forced by the
Acthar
to make excessive amounts of corticosteroid, but the gastroenterologist doesn't think that the cyst and the
Acthar
are connected.

Update - Endo visit - don't know how I feel!
Well just back from my first endo appointment in 14 months!!! They've cancelled 1 and I cancelled 1 because they didn't send me the blood forms. Had problems getting them again this time too - my own Dr couldn't get the forms either, so he did the blood tests and I printed them out to take to endo

Endo adding 2.5 mcgs of hydrocortisone to T4 and T3 - just need reassurance.
My endo has decided to add a low dose of Hydrocortisone 2.5 mcgs to my thyroid treatment because my cortisol seems a bit low and we are struggling with over stimulation symptoms even though I am well within range. I'm central hypothyroid. There may be an element of partial ACTH deficiency now as my ACTH
