Finished HDR-BT and IMRT
I read one of TA's posts about Zytiga effectively causing water retention by causing the adrenal to release
ACTH
, and overhydrating every day probably caused even more water retention. Now my main goal is to try to get my BP back down. I hope this is not a permanent effect of Zytiga.

Who else has adrenal insufficiency and MS?
To top it off, after an
ACTH
test (and a thorough SS check out), the docs have decided I have adrenal insufficiency and prescribed hydrocortisone, low dose, administered on a cortisol circadian rhythm and "they" tell me it is yet another autoimmune disease.

THYROTOXICOSIS : ADRENAL CORTEX, DEATH IN THYROTOXICOSIS
Secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (
ACTH
) by the pituitary is reported to be increased [406]. There are increases in secretory episodes during the day, but the fall to zero secretion after midnight is retained.

Endocrinologist insist that my blood work shows thyrotoxicosis. Please take a look.
PTH &
ACTH
are pending. How does these impact my well-being. I’m scared i’m going to be more ill if they try to reduce my dosage. I’m 64 years old. Can anyone suggest what my dosage should be, taking into consideration my recent blood work. Thanks to all.

Chronic chest pressure and depression, help??
I am so fatigued that I tested positive for narcolepsy, but the medication did not work. the only thing that came up was that my morning cortisol was lower-end normal (5.4, normal range was 5-25), and morning
acth
was high (110, range was <46).

Within range baseline cortisol but failed Acth testing! What to do?
First baseline 251 (240-600) rise 395 >430nmol
acth
4 >20mu/l. Second baseline 377 rise 423
acth
6 Doctors says it was borderline sick day rule only of HC. I questioned why as I didnt meet the minimum requirements to the response!
