An Answer I Didn't Want - PVFS - Final Diagnosis?
This will make up for the deficit occasionally caused by low CRH/
ACTH
production and poor sensitivity. -On/Off cycling of Inosine Pranobex (a.k.a. Immunovir/Neosine Forte) 1000mg x 3 per day.

They want my GP to assess my Cortisol and
ACTH
levels re. potential adrenal insufficiency, but that's only because my GP insists that there is nothing wrong with my thyroid... more on that later.

Amenorrhea over 2.5 years
All of her labs (LH, FSH, Progesterone, Testosterone, Ferritin, Cortisol, prolactin, DHEA-S,
ACTH
, Insulin, Glucose, etc.), have come back in the normal ranges. Her Estrogen/Estradiol was a bit on the low side however.

Prednisone to Blame for ERA 223 Trial Failure?
“Prednisone supplementation needs to be administered to patients during abiraterone therapy in order to inhibit
ACTH
[adrenocorticotropic hormone] increase and the consequent mineral corticoid excess; however, the prednisone dose administered in the ERA223 trial (10 mg daily) is excessive,” Dr.

Newly diagnosed I have many questions.
I have also recently had an adrenal function test where my cortisol levels were normal but I had low
acth
levels. Has anyone else had this? I'm waiting for my follow up appointment to see what my next steps are medication ?

Good rheumatologist in South Oxfordshire/Oxford
We both have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroiditis) and I have symptoms of Sjorgen's and low cortisol (although SST ruled out PAI/Addison's, but
ACTH
was not tested). I am a member of Health Unlocked Thyroid UK. I would like a recommendation for a really good rheumatologist locally please. TIA

A.M. Cortisol
Also my
ACTH
is very high. I think there maybe a correlation there. Also I was born with only 1 kidney (I found out about 10 years ago) I went to a kidney doctor and he said I only have one adreno gland. What test are you all doing to check your cortisol levels?

Blood test results on thyroxine
I have just done a 9am
ACTH
blood and cortisol test – awaiting results. I am still far from well and seem to be on a merry-go- round of trying different things and being disappointed - though I suspect there are many on this site on the same merry-go-round.
