Help! I received my blood test results today and had a little panic!! I wondered if I was over medicated. I’m on 50 micrograms Levothyroxine which I realise now that I shouldn’t have taken on the morning of the test. I took the Levo at 5.20am and had the blood test at 10.20am. The results were:- Serum

GP still dosing by TSH - help
My GP doses according to TSH results disregarding any symptoms. Over the past five months I have had to change my dose several times 75, then 75/100 alternate days then to 100, when he saw my TSH was below the lowest level he put me back on 75 without discussing it with me, I had been on this level since

NDT has raised my thyroid anti-bodies. What's next?
Hi All, As I just made a post with my update on NDT (good T3 and T4 levels, but TSH is 0.017, so too low), I received my latest anti-bodies results. And they went up! I've heard some people shared how their anti-bodies went up as well on NDT. Yes, I'm on a gluten-free, whole food diet, been on

Fatigue issues taking Eltroxin combined with Hydroxy for ET
Wonder if anyone else with ET on this forum has had additional challenge managing intense fatigue when taking Levothyroxine, trade name Eltroxin, a thyroid hormone supplement, combined with Hydroxy 500mg daily? Started Eltroxin February this year. Previously well managed situation. Now life is more of

Baseline test recommendations?
EDIT - latest blood tests added to the bottom. Hi, starting my journey towards trialling some T3 due to extreme fatigue, weight gain and other symptoms. I’ve been on levothyroxine for 10 years (age 36-46), since fertility treatment picked up that I’d actually been underactive for a long time. Anyway

Prep & Recomendations re T3-friendly Consultant
So, been to see the GP again today. Based on recent blood results, she was very insistant that I reduce Levothyroxine a further 25mcg. She is well aware I'm not happy about this as, previously, when reduced Levothyroxine, I've felt significant lack of energy/motivaton, poor mood etc. Consequently, it's

Confused with blood tests
Hello I'm hoping someone can help me with my recent blood results please. I don't understand how my TSH is so suppressed but my T3/4 is low. I feel unwell with nervous anxiety and palpitations. I feel over medicated but my T3 says otherwise. I am currently taking 50mcg levo and 4 X metavive each day

Unhelpful trip to GP today
My GP is convinced I am overtreated with levothyroxine. See results to prove otherwise. We had a really frustrating conversation today and she made me doubt my conviction around trying to suppress my TSH. Can someone give me an idea of how much it costs to see a private endo in the South West, who will

PA symptoms?
Hi, I’m over from the Thyroid UK group. DH has autoimmune thyroiditis, NCGS and psoriasis. And a whole host of symptoms having been misdiagnosed for ages. He’s on levothyroxine but his memory loss is way more than you’d normally see with thyroiditis and the neurologists aren’t sure what it is. We’

I am 79 years old and experienced thyroid imbalance earlier this year with quite sudden lack of wellbeing. Successfully negotiated Levo increase but GP has scared me 😱
Hi everyone, Sorry for the long post, I think I might just need some reassurance that I’ve done the right thing. I have been having symptoms for the last few weeks - headaches, increased hunger, put on a bit of weight, mood issues, feeling cold, constipation. So I did a medichecks test which came back

Can I get Armour Thyroid or NDT from Crete without a prescription? Can I get it with a private prescription if not?
Hi everyone, I have been on Armour Thyroid for 22 years , I’m now 44. I was originally trialed on levothyroxine but there was absolutely no improvement, I was severely ill from a teenager, bed ridden with chronic pain and it was only when I was put on Armour Thyroid in my early 20s that I started to
