Questions and Considerations for Preconception Endocrinologist (NHS)
*For anyone

it is worth repeating that any woman with hypothyroidism including subclinical hypothyroidism should be referred for an endocrinologist preconception appointment. It’s not mentioned at all in the NICE Guidelines but can be found here on the CKS

I was told by endo I could get t3 if I did 6 weeks on levo to show I don't convert properly. I did this on 175 levo but my t4 was rising out of range and t3 not in the highest range. I've been on ndt and t3 but always self sorced. But I was hoping to get t3 on percripton. The gp has said I now have to

Nightmares due to overmedication?
I have started adding 5mcg T3 late at night, as part of the process of finding my optimal dose for hypothyroidism. (I take 50mcg Levo and 10mcg T3 in the morning & 5mcg T3 in the afternoon) Last night I was restless and had terrible nightmares around 3-5 hours after taking the late night dose and figured

TSH Reducing
Doc rang with recent blood test results, which included TSH, said to be on the low side of normal at 0.29. My TSH reading has therefore steadily reduced over the past 12 months. I didn’t have the wit to ask the doc at the time about will it stop reducing or will it tip over into hyper at some stage.

B vitamin complex
hi, I just need to know if it’s ok for me to take my B vitamin complex an hour after T4/T3 with my breakfast. The reason I ask is on the box it states folate - as calcium folinate. I’m now worried if I should leave 4 hours after levo because it mentions calcium? Any help will be appreciated

Advice on Thyroid results?
Hi all, my first post. I've had symptoms of hypothyroidism for several (6-7) years including extreme fatigue, weight gain (now 2 stone heavier), depression, achy muscles - I used to be so fit and healthy and now everything feels like a huge effort. Had several tests over the years for TSH and T4

Levothyroxine dissolves?
Has anyone noticed that their levothyroxine tablets dissolve on your tongue now? I've been taking levothyroxine for 30yrs and never experienced this before. I'm using the Almus/accord brand.

T3 and sugar crashes
Another question for everyone on here, whilst i'm online. Since I have been taking T3 (sigma pharma) I have had hypoglycaemic symptoms. Depending on what I eat, or if I don't eat soon enough (say if I need to delay my lunch slightly because of work)- I will have hypoglycaemic symptoms. I start feeling

Over range T3 on combination T3/T4 medication
I posted several times last year about my 18 daughter who was very ill with chronic fatigue and severe bowel issues amongst other things. We discovered that her FT3 and FT4 were both very low and this was may have been the cause of many of her symptoms. In March last year her Medichecks tests came

New member, looking for alternatives to Thyroid-S
Dear all, I am new to this forum but not to thyroid disease. I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism in 1999, at age 29, and put on levothyroxine. I struggled on it for years, tried different brands, but never felt optimal. I needed 200 micrograms a day just to feel human, while doctors kept

NAD+ has anyone tried this supplement?
Hi all, Just had a friend visiting from the States who has battled severe fatigue since having covid, he doesn't have a thyroid condition. He found a supplement called NAD+ really helped him with fatigue. I can't find any info online in relation to this supplement and underactive thyroid, but wondered

GERD (acid reflux) and Hypothyroidism
Hi, 28 years ago, i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, following a very bad sore throat (I still remember the pain in my throat!). Benign nodules that have now disappeared. On Levothyroxine 75 since then. 2 weeks ago, I had a routine blood test showing that my TSH is 5.36 (normal range is 0.27 to 4.2
