Background: Hashimoto's for 5 years + Menopause started same year (on Evorel Conti patch)
Was on Thai desiccated porcine thyroid but with Covid that supply went.
Since then been back on Levothyroxine 75mcg (recent bloods show satisfactory dose) with 25mcg T3 (Tiromel). I titrated slowly to that level.
Despite GP telling me my bloods show satisfactory levels, I am now piling on the weight - 6 kg in less than 1 year despite cutting sugar and eating sensibly.
I have a pot belly bulging from beneath my bra line as though I am 7 months pregnant.
I am embarrassed to be seen naked by my husband who loves me dearly and reassures me nothing is different with me. I cover up in my nightie at bedtime and daytime I wear baggy tops.
I often wake up middle of the night and struggle to sleep again. When I am up, it takes me till lunch time to be myself. Working a high powered job makes this very difficult.
When I was on Thai NDT I maintained my weight and felt loads better even though my blood results were not always what my GP felt was normal/satisfactory.
Can someone please PM with a reliable Thai NDT (grains).
Bless you. 🙏
