Why do I still have acne?
Hello, I am new to this forum, but I really hope I can find some answers! I have always had spots - the deep painful kind that don't usually come to a head, but about a year ago I had a massive flare up. I had little bumps all over my face, as well as many deep cysts/spots. It really impacted my self-confidence

Teenage acne, PCOS & endometriosis. Are they linked?
Hello ladies. I have another question for those of you diagnosed with endo. Did you have severe teenage acne or acne throughout your teenage hood leading into adulthood which never seemed to go away whatever you did? I started puberty at age 8, started periods when I was 10 and I believe I started getting

Hi, I recently had a laparoscopy and have cysts on one ovary. My periods are very bad, extremely bad, have been since age 10, used to be irregular when I was younger, but they come regularly enough now. I'm 28. After the laparoscopy, a doc said the ovary looks polycycstic, but that I probably don't have

Interesting article: In-office gene therapy for wet age-related macular degeneration is coming
Gene therapy is showing promise for one of the most common causes of blindness. Data presented today shows that six patients with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) have, so far, gone at least six months without the need for continued injections to control a disease that typically requires treatment

Covid 19 a vascular disease ?
In another paper that looked at nearly 9,000 people with Covid-19, Mehra showed that the use of statins and
ACE

Covid 19 protection
So in contrast to recent speculation in the media it appears that drugs such as ARB's and
Ace
inhibitors
may provide some protection against coronavirus. http://links.mkt1881.com/ctt

ACE Inhibitors
There is currently uncertainty whether
ACE
Inhibitors
, (they treat high blood pressure and the drug name ends in ‘pril’), encourage or deter Coronavirus. If anyone sees any fact based opinions on the question I would be grateful if they could post it on this Forum, or contact me.

Face Camouflage Creams - Make Acne Worse?
Hi I've been struggling with relatively severe acne for some time now and have tried a large range of treatments over several years which have had little to no effect. The scarring is progressively getting worse with each outbreak and I'm becoming increasingly self conscious. Having tried and failed

New treatment for wet AMD available in Scotland
A new treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which would require fewer injections, has been approved for NHS patients in Scotland today. Brolucizumab (Beovu), which could see patients going as much as 12 weeks between injections, has been approved by the Scottish Medicines Consortium

TACE (transarterial chemoembolization) for prostate cancer mets to liver or lung?
From my understanding, TACE provides the advantage of delivering higher doses of chemotherapy to a targeted region (liver/lung) and also interfering with tumor blood supply. Has anyone used this therapy for liver or lung mets? Obviously, if prostate cancer is in the soft-tissue, a systemic treatment
