BP meds
Hi, I have been taking
ACE
inhibitors
to control my blood pressure for a few years. As I work in a supermarket doing online shopping and come into contact with people. Am I in the "at risk" category with COVID-19? Please could you advise. Thank you.

Men's blood contains greater concentrations of enzyme that helps COVID-19 infect cells.
The study, published in the European Heart Journal [1] today (Monday), also found that heart failure patients taking drugs targeting the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (

It's acne awareness month
It's acne awareness month and up to a third of those with PCOS are thought to be affected by this symptom. It has been shown to have a significant impact on mental health including body image. Do you, or have you experience acne? What has worked for you when managing it?

Coronavirus infection and medication for cardiovascular disease
The NNT for
ACE
inhibitors
in secondary prevention is high (1:100 over 5 years) and thus the risk associated with drug discontinuation may be less than the risk asociated with contracting COVID-19.

Covid-19 and high blood pressure medication
I have just been speaking with my GP about the link between
ACE
inhibitors
and ARB drugs prescribed for hypertension (and other conditions) and the incidence of severe Covid-19 infection (several million of us are on these meds).

Lucentis injections
Hi everyone just had my 4th injection today and feeling really well after this latest one. Just a thought, as nearly always takes me a good 24 hours normally to feel brighter after them. Just wondering if this is due to build up, getting used to them or struck lucky with my injector today? Would love

vision drops after injection
Does anyone know why vision drops after injection? Both my eyes got injected yesterday. Left eye vision is okay but right eye vision drops significantly. Should I contact the doctor? To be precise, I am sure my vision is dropped, not blurred. Btw, what I have is myopia related wet macular degeneration

Nodules
I was diagnosed with Cirhossis of the liver a couple of years ago. Sometime later they said I had 'nodules' on the liver and that , ideally, they'd like to 'ablate' them using a high frequency probe. I wanted to know if they were cancerous and had a biopsy last year. The result was that they appeared

Coronavirus - FAQs
There has been speculation about whether blood pressure medications,
ACE
inhibitors
and angiotensin receptor blockers might increase the chances of severe Covid-19 infections. However, there is currently no evidence to support this.

Eylea injections and opticians
I have macular oedema and I am having Eyelea injections. I feel my eyesight would be improved if I went to the opticians for some new glasses. Has anyone done this as I believe although it has not been suggested it would help me. I have been having injections for over a year and my opticians appointment
