Changing horses, Enzalutamide to Abiraterone(Zytiga)
So we made a decision to start on
Abiraterone
/prednisone now while continuing on Lupron. So far tolerating the new drugs and labs are okay. Will wait to get PSA. I feel good enough to enjoy everything I am able to do for 80 years old with age certainly slowing me down.

Enzalutamide Resistance & Treatment-Emergent AR Changes
It should be noted however, that a third of the 65 patients had already received
Abiraterone
, which would perhaps have affected baseline numbers.

K I S S, yes trying to keep it simple. A Lupron vacation after 2 yrs on & Abiraterone(250mg) & Prednisone 5mg? Yes or no?
Well, discussions with my med oncologist June 3rd did entail the possibility of stopping my Lupron 90 day injections this Sept. Notice I said possibility. 1. I've had two successful CT scans of my abdomen/Pelvis this year(primarily to detect my severe diverticulitis) both scans showed no 'cancer lesion

What next? Abiraterone->Docetaxel->Cabazitaxel-> ?
3.How long cabazitaxel, Enzalutamide (Xtandi) generally work in mCRPC setting post-
Abiraterone
& Docetaxel? 4.Rechallenging Zytiga ?

Lupron and seizures
Has lupron and/or
abiraterone
caused seizures in anyone on this Board? Obviously I'm concerned about possible brain met(s), but hoping getting off the lupron and/or
abiraterone
may turn out to be what is needed instead. Thx. in advance.

Abiraterone-Firmagon ADT not working fast enough to lower PSA
I thought my decreasing PSA the past several months on
Abiraterone
(Zytiga) and Firmagon was moderately encouraging. But MO says I’m not responding well to ADT because 90% of patients like me would have PSA go down much quicker on
Abiraterone
and Firmagon.

A look at the next generation of Androgen Receptor therapies--AR Degraders/PROTACS
A PROTAC causes breakdown of proteins by targeting a specific system (in this case--AR system in PCa cell lines) as opposed to being an androgen production blocker (
abiraterone
) or an AR binder inhibitor (enzalutamide).

Which way to go now?
After two plus years on
abiraterone
+ pred and prostap had to stop due to rapid heartbeats attributed to abi. Month later started Xtandi stopped in less than one month due to zombie like side effects. That was five months ago.

Is this 1-month PSA “plateau” significant?
Prior to that, my PSA Ultrasensitive had been dropping for months: -4 Sept 2020 PSA = 3.210 -30 Oct. 2020 PSA = 1.610 -4 Nov 2020 Started
Abiraterone
1000 mg daily in addition to Firmagon monthly. -19 Nov 2020 PSA = 1.89 (an increase).

CRPC special-- causes of Enzalutamide resistance, Treatment comparisons in nMCRPC, and Improved OS with Masitinib and Docetaxel
Howdy FPC folks, So today I thought I would post 3 articles on CRPC-the first deals with Enzalutamide resistance. An evaluation of CTC's and mutations involving Emzalutamide resistance. Knowing your tumor mutations may help you in making treatment decisions regarding Xtandi: https://www.practiceupdate.com

Bipolar Androgen Therapy vs Enzalutamide in Asymptomatic Men With Castration-Resistant Metastatic Prostate Cancer
elsca1=emc_enews_topic-alert BAT-enza may be an effective therapy for patients with mCRPC with progression on
abiraterone
. Further research is required for optimal clinical use and to identify biomarkers to predict treatment efficacy.

HOW GOOD IS DAROLUTAMIDE?
Abiraterone
didn't work; having good luck with Docetaxel. Have metastases in lymph nodes; bones clear so far. Docetaxel has run its course. Anti-receptor is next. MO wants old standby, Enzalutamide. But I've read highly complimentary stuff about new AR, Darolutamide.

AMG Clinical Trial Update
I began the Firmagon injections and
abiraterone
with prednisone almost immediately after the tests in May of 2019. ALP dropped precipitously over the next 60 days to the low 50's. PSA came down to 4 but never went lower. PSA, ALP, and LDH all started increasing in the late summer.
