Welcome to the forum. So great for you to have found us.
And we certainly look forward to hearing of your progress.
Did the hospital give you a leaflet? Usually they have great advice. As we are not experts or GPs, so it might be useful to follow the advice you will be given.
Here is a link from one of the NHS health trusts, but your own hospital might have even better ones:

Some advice points towards some options that might be useful to consider
1) Walking is something to consider. We do have a walking sister forum.
★★★ Active10 : Active10 is for those who want to include regular walking into their daily lives, with a dedicated walking app for iOS and Android. healthunlocked.com/active10
But take it gentle, as you recover.
2) it’s advice is to avoid any activities that puts pressure on eyes, and this seems to include most of strength building.
So I wonder if this time could be used for
- breathing exercises (Yoga with Adriene has a few, for instance her most recent one

- ankle and wrist yoga , for instance

- once you feel you can stand for longer, tai chi is extremely gentle and it might be a real good time to get to know what tai chi is about:

But above all, I’d ask your GP and see if your hospital team has an advice leaflet.
Hope your surgery and recovery goes really well and would love to hear how your progressing in your health journey as you move forward.
