Done a small run this morning. 3.5k in 18mins, then this evening went along to my mangers cycling club for a 38k ride. Never been out with more than 1. I was put in the slower group, which I was 100% fine with. I'm so pleased as I didn't look out of place. I kept up with the pack. Quite nice when you hear 'slow it up new guy struggling' with reply being 'no its not he's been beside me all the way'
Defiantly feeling good

Nice one... I wonder who was struggling and claiming to be a new guy... hope you didn’t up the pace too much for them 😂. I take it you’ll be going out with them again? Won’t be long before you’re in that other group the way you’re going.
Hopefully yes. Just depends on work. It will be a while before I'm in the top group. The bike plays a big part as well. Mine is £120 second hand. Some of them boys have a winter bike at £3k alone.
I’m pleased you had a good time, I keep thinking I should try a bikability course to get used to road cycling. Sounds like you have found your feet with your new club 😀.
I defiantly enjoyed it. I'll defiantly go again. I started off on my own, going early in morning and doing 5 mile round about home then progressing to 10 and so on. Done a few toe paths. Found a mate and went back quiet roads.
