Was playing really well Last night at football. Went up for the ball landed on my right heel all wrong. I thought I heard a snap. Must have been in my head. Walked it off. So I thought. Went for a run down the wing and the pain was unreal. Hobbled about to try and walk it off. But I knew that was it. I actually did shed a tear not cause I was sore but cause I knew I'm not running for a while. Sat with ice last night. Woke up not moving ankle just praying don't be sore 🙏🙏. Drum roll. It's worse 😢😢. Back of Heel looks tike there is somthing sticking out of it and can't bare weight on it. Not in good form at all....

I could actually cry
So sorry about that Johnny, you must go or phone a doctor for medical treatment as soon as possible.
Thanks. I'm lying here deciding what to do. I'm not one for phoning in sick.
I think you mentioned that you a delivery driver for Tesco, if the pain is very sore, you should phone in sick as driving a delivery van could make it worse. Here on Healthunlocked C25K/Strength and Flex we all care for each others well being.
Al is right....you need to get it looked at asap....you can go to work late if you are up to it....good luck...go nos before it gets busy.
Hopefully you can carry on with your strength and flexibility work while resting....?
Ouch, get it checked out it doesn’t sound too good, I am so sorry. Take care. Rfc x
Oh no. Sounds very much like ruptured achilles, hope I’m wrong. Get it checked out.
Thanks guys. Thankfully I don't think it's as bad as I first feared. Still sore to walk on but I'll get there. Hopefully lol
Ease upon your training until it is properly healed, this is the time that it is crucial to look after an injury, take care. Rfc x
Thanks. Don't think I'll have much of a choice. I can work with my underling injury on other foot. This I can't.
It will pass, I remember how gutted I was when I missed a step coming downstairs landed awkwardly and twisted my ankle. I was gutted. Unfortunately I went back too early afterwards and six months down the line I had very expensive physio bills ☹️, just for the sake of two extra weeks off training.
You just don't know who you would meet in this job. Was at a docs house and he got me to do a few movements. He said it's not good but it's not the worse news. Slights tear and alot of inflammation. Says could be 4 weeks at least. Cycle on flats and swimming may be OK. Wont know until I try. Now I know more I just need to find stuff I can do that won't inflame or aggravate it. Still gutted. In my head running is my thing. It kick started me
Running will be again, just tell yourself you are doing this recovery thing only once and that might help to keep you focused. We will help to find you things that can keep you going. Rfc x
Get well soon 🤕
