Flu jab if having a flare up ?

Hi guys , does anyone know if I should have my flu jab while having a bad flare up . I've had it the last 5 years with no problems but i was stable on medication. I've been having a flare up since June so am on high dose steroids and immunosuppressants. It's still not under control yet. How I look at it is that drugs are trying to suppress my immune system and putting a flu virus into me now could make me poorly and poor body won't know what to do. Am seeing my specialist next Friday so will ask , but just wanted to see if anyone else been in same position and what advice was given to you. Many thanks .

Hi Suzyannayoung' I'm also on Meds which suppress my immune system and have flu jab every year without any ill effect. However I've never actually been in a big flare at the time so maybe your specialist can help with that one. Take care

Thanks fir replies. Have just had my iloprost infusion last week. See specialist this Friday so will ask about flu jab, will post what he says in case anyone else in same situation 😊

I thought they advise the flu jab for people with compromised immune system whether illness or medication compromised? I'd consider the flu a more dangerous prospect than the jab - just my thoughts
