Just received a CPAP this week after several months wait. Tried it the first night using a full mask. Stopped using after 1 hour because of sore throat, sore nasal lining. Too dry! Will try to use on a Friday night with higher humidity setting.
My history: major LAD heart attack with complications 23 October 2021. Received emergency angioplasty and stent. Finished cardio rehab March 2022. Sleep study ordered by my cardiologist in April with home device. Diagnosis is moderate sleep apnea with a score of 36. CPAP ordered and just received. Appt with neurologist in 1 weeks time.
I am a loud snorer and light sleeper. The nights are full of fragmented dreams and nights seem longer and more exhausting than my drowsy waking hours. I am back to work but luckily because of COVID mostly work from home.
Hope to experiment with CPAP device to get it comfortable.

I hope to try one later in the year so it really interesting to hear your experience. Hopefully there's someone here with more to add but hoping things get better for you soon 👍🙏
I appreciate your response. As others have mentioned, adjusting to the CPAP device will be an adventure! On Friday night, I did not use it as my throat is sore. So will try tonight.
_ I would suggest keep on isisting on CPAP, go strait to a Bilevel CPAP if possible.....take a look on the apneaboard Fórum, to start learning about...Good luck
