Starting Avastin infusion
Hi Emma, I was on Avastin for over a year. The only side effect I had was it created high blood pressure for me. I had to go back on chemo for awhile but now I am on Zejula for almost 2 years. I have been on this journey for 6 years now. We all are here for you. This site has helped alot of us. Best of everything to you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Caroline
Hi Caroline ,thanks for best wishes .You right this site help me a lot.I have HB pressure so itβs bad for me start Avastin? I am thinking to talk to my doctor before I start about Zejula and Olaparib .Were you live? Emma
I am currently in Avastin and just a slight rise in blood pressure. I have been on it off and on for the past three years. It is not that bad and we have been through much worse.
You have the right attitude. You have no choice but to do anything to keep you well. Wishing you a merry Christmas and strength, and prayers for this coming year β€οΈ
Hi, I've been on a Avastin, with a low dose of taxotere since the end of July and I'm doing very well with it. I was on taxotere for over a year before the Avastin was added due to CA 125 rising and a tumor pushing on my ureter. No blood pressure problems, I drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, the only complaint I have if any is fatigue. I also have acupuncture and massages which truly help. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me. Happy holidays.
Hang in there. Iβm on Zejula for a years. All these new drugs are really working. Hard not to worry but keep the faith. In my prayers. Blessed Christmas. Rose
Hi Emma. Iβm also in Chicago . Avastin worked so well for me against the cancer. I have gone 2 years now with no drugs. I hope 2020 brings all positive things for you.

Also 6 cycles.
Thanks so much for replying to me. It gives so much hope xx
Were you also told that you might need to continue avastin when you started your 6 cycles?
Praying we don't have to continue it and 6 cycles are enough for her too.
Any side effects we should watch out for?
Thank you again, you're kind.
I know that after surgery I was over 1600. After chemo it dropped below 10 and has remained low for 2 years so far.
Thank you again Erebuni. The patient I know had 6 carbo/ taxol therapies followed by surgery and again 3 cycles of carbo/ taxol.
She has recurred within 6 months and is advised gemzar/ avastin as 2nd line.
Praying it works.
I don't know what type of ovarian cancer you have I had stage 3c clear cell. I was fortunate to be a candidate for intraperitenil chemotherapy. Your in the US, it adds 3 years plus onto the distance between reoccurance. In April I will be cancer free 6 years. I'm in California, I was seen at city of hope. Best wishes for a happy healthy new year. My friend diagnosed stage 4 given 6 months, saw my Dr. 2 years later cancer free.. My oncologist gyno surgeon is who I see always is Dr Amy Hakim she's in Palm Springs California. If you need help. Best wishes, liz
