My wife was diagnosed ovarian 3C in June 2017. Has been getting Avastin since march 2018. Started every 3 weeks for a few months. Ca125 kept rising. Then changed to a cycle of doxil and Avastin every 4 weeks (day 1), and just Avastin in the middle of the 4 weeks (day 15). After several cycles Ca125 started dropping, now after cycle 6, Ca125 is at 21. Next CT scan in 2 weeks to determine future chemo. Doxil side effects were manageable rashes, mouth sores, joint pain, extreme fatigue. Being at a nci certified cancer center is wonderful.

Best of luck to your wife.
Your wife and I are on the same regimen! I’m dealing with the hand/foot reaction right now. It is painful and annoying, but if this is the worse that is going to happen, I’ll take it! Glad her count is going down. Mine actually went up two points last month. I am blaming that on my hands, because they are so inflamed.
Best wishes to you and your wife!
I was diagnosed in April 2016 stage 3C Had carboplatinum and Taxol. Then in September 2017 had a reoccurrence went on carboplatinum and Avastin. Then stayed on Avastin as a maintence till it stop responding then went on a PARP inhibitor A pill form called Zejula my CA125 dropped from the 200’s to 34. But then it stopped working and I had fluid in my abdomen called ascites Tested positive for cancer so now I’m on Doxil once a month for 5 cycles. just starting with the feet pain. Hands ok so far. Any tips for the pain? Besides more pills 🥴
I did Zejula too. I was really fatigued and nauseous on it and it didn’t work.
Time and gobs of Vaseline are the only things I can recommend for your feet. The worst of the pain lasted about ten days. I’m now at the peeling stage, which so far has been OK. Like a little sunburn peeling. It’s annoying, but not as gross as I was told it could be.
I just had another dose of Doxil yesterday. I’m not looking forward to seeing what happens next. 😣
Good luck!
Thank you. My next round is February 8th
I'm also 3C. First recurrence-- had 6 months of carbo/doxil. Iced my hands and feet each time. Did not get the hand foot misery. I wrapped/tied plastic bags of ice to hands and feet with ACE bandages. No neuropathy either. Currently In remission/ NED.
That’s good news. I hope she continues to do well.
