I’m here , Clear cell stage 1 aggressive. Diagnosis in 2019 had a reoccurrence in 2020 on abdomen. Was taking Letrozole for 4 years and went off , not liking the effects. I am reading and understanding that immunotherapy could be the answer to the type of cancer we share.

My type of my cancer was Stage1C3 was not pure clear cell, its mix of endometroid and clear cell only small percentage of clear cell I have the dominant type of my cancer is endometroid.I dont know the difference of aggresiveness between pure clear cell and mixed type.

Neither do I understand, I did have a full hysterectomy , I am in my late 50’s . Have you undergone any treatment?

Hi HappyGoLucky, were you taking letrozole before the recurrence or after? What is the rationale for this drug? Clear cell is thought to not be driven by hormones… Hoping you’re ok now.🙏

Hi Lorna, welcome to the club noone wants to join. There is hope though! I'm still here without recurrence 3 years following 1C3 clear cell. Not mixed I know, but my understanding is that clear cell has a more guarded prognosis than endometrioid. There are others on the site who've thrived after higher stage OCCC.

All is not lost. I hope you find the support here as comforting, helpful & uplifting as I have. There's also a monthly rarer OC subtype online group run by Ovacome that you may be interested in joining.

You're not alone. Sending you a big hug x

Bananasmothie, thank you, once again it gives me hope that Im not alone my histology report was Stage1C3 grade1 means low grade and most likely small percentage of clear cell, the dominant is the endometroid. At the moment Im on remission and NED.I will try to join the Ovacome rarer subtype online group. Thanks heaps
