Doxil

I have gone through 8 years of treatment for 4th stage breast cancer, but now they are suggesting I begin Doxil. Has anyone had experience with this chemo treatment?

I am about to start on the chemo drug, Doxil. Wondering if anyone had experience with this drug.

Just wondering if anyone did the full rounds of 6 months of doxil. What did you do after it was done.? I have one more chemo and then we will have the discussion of what to do next. My onc is talking about taking a break for a few months but that makes me feel nervous about progression.

Mom (71 yrs) is put on Doxil and Avastin as other treatment failed to response in last one year. Do anybody have any experience to share. I am worried about side effects. Any feedback would he greatly appreciated.

My dilemma is that Doxil appears to be working… or at least makes my tummy and bones etc feel better… I hate to blow past this therapy and onto something less well tolerated..

Hello all. It has been awhile since I have posted. I have read many posts from others that are also on this chemo. I had been on extremestane and everolimus since Feb after biopsy showed no mutations. Numbers up and down - over all stable with no new bone lesions, but more nodes. Dr started chemo above

I am afraid that I will be taken off and pout on Doxil. I really don’t want to lose my hair again. Anyone in a similar situation? Any information is appreciated. Stay strong my ladies!

Doxil Lipisomal is my chemo and while I have a tiny bit of progression on my scans, my Oncologist is keeping me on for two more months to see if it’s a true progression. Please help talk be off this ledge. I’m 3 1/2 years into my MBC diagnosis and time is what I’m after.

I finished January 2024 post pet was clear, 3 months later my CA125 started rising again pet showed supraclavicular although small recurred I currently have had 3 Avastin/Doxil crossing my fingers so far so good CA125 hasn't decreased rapidly but its stable not escalating I had my 3-month pet showed

Dr wants to start Doxil. When I told him I was not sure I wanted to go through chemo again, he said he could set me up with palliative care ot hospice. I told him I am noy giving up on treatment, just want to see if there is anything else.

I think it was perhaps because Doxil had been so built up as the kinder gentler version of Doxirubicin but not for me… after the N&V cleared, then the mouth sores started plus the HFS has not abated from my previous 18 months on xeloda….

has anyone been on Doxil infusions. Wondering what experience you’ve had with this chemo? It s suppose to be the strongest chemo, but what about the side effects and how many treatments can you have of this drug?

hemoglobin will be very low.. but in 2 weeks it is up to 2 points and is almost 10, also proteins is ok in blood.. so strange.. that mean that food absorbed in stomach but came out bile… we were waiting for chemo with hope that it will do any job… also what is strange moms last chemo was in october with doxil

My mom have stomach obstruction operation on 14.07( 2 weeks after 1st doxil influsion) now she is recovering her last chemo was 16.06 than 14.07 surgery and now on 17.08’she will get doxil again.. i am so affraid what will be if after first influstion was this obstraction that mean it doesnt work?

My doctor wants 4 two weekly chemo treatments with Doxil, Avastin and Carbo I am also wondering how many of you sought a second opinion and if that was helpful.
