Truqap rash

Dear friends, I started Truqap recently, in combination with Faslodex injections. It was blissful for the first two weeks, no side effects, but I developed a rash yesterday -- at first just a few pinpricks but I woke up this morning with a spread all over my body. It's not itchy or burning. Has anyone had to deal with this kind of reaction and how? My oncologist is now monitoring the situation as I start my three days off the medication. Many thanks in advance for sharing your experiences

I got a rash the first week it was just legs and arms. I started taking zyrtec at night everyday and no more rash. Some take Claritin but that didn't work for me.. I take zyrtec at night because it makes me drowsy.

Thank you! I am taking Cetirisine and it hasn't helped. Good to know this option 🙏

Do you think there is any chance that it is measles? Just a thought, we are all vulnerable because of our low immune systems. Hope whatever it is, that it goes away quickly. Blessings, Hannah

Thank you for that thought, Hannah. Unfortunately and definitely a rash related to this new treatment. I would be devastated to be taken off it so soon as it seems to be effective otherwise. I am seeing my oncologist on Tuesday and was hoping to get other experiences and solutions so as to have an informed conversation.

I take antihistimines for allergies, sio I haven't gottten a rash. You might want to try a different antihistimine and see if it helps the rash. The combo I use is Allegra in the morning a Xyxal at night.

Thank you. That's a very useful - it would mean twice the dose of antihistamines my oncologist prescribed -- but that may be what's required.
