I THINK THAT TRUQAP IS WORKING!

Finally, there is good news. The blood results show an amazing swerve to normal or much closer to normal than for many many months. So, I can endure the severe exhaustion with a smile on my face. Thank you for the support from you all who "know".

outstanding ! I just started last

Month. How long have you been on it ?

jersey-jazz profile image
jersey-jazz in reply toAdele_Julia

I have been on it for six weeks. I am dreadfully exhausted but expect that eventually my body will get used to it and I will feel better. I need to keep moving when I would much rather lay in bed.

Great news!! Very happy for you.. by blood results do you mean your CBC or complete blood count which include the Absolute Neutrophil count, white cell count, hemoglobin and platelets or did you mean the cancer markers?

jersey-jazz profile image
jersey-jazz in reply toArtesa

I mean the comprehensive metabolic panel. It is not perfect but it is so much better than it had been. There is definite improvement and a way to go.

Mazel Tov..and knowing it's working may find you less tired!!!

jersey-jazz profile image
jersey-jazz in reply toBorisCarloff

I think you may have hit upon something. My mood is definitely better. My energy level lags behind my mood. Maybe, just maybe I will be more inclined to work harder on physical exercise. I fact, I intend to. How are you doing?

My dose got lowered last week, having rested it for a month. And after 4 days kidney and glucose numbers went nuts! BUT they are not going to pull it, just watch the numbers like a hawk. BUT I feel great except diarrhea that is handled by immodium. My side effects are silent. Hearing lots of good results from this baby!!!

Thanks for the encouraging news! I was just taken off Piqray because I have been getting so sick from it. They will start me on Truquap, next week. Hopefully it will work 🤞

I hope you have much better luck with Truqap than with Piqray. As you know, Truqap is newer and supposedly has less side effects. Let us know how you get on with it.

so glad your doing so well on Trugap! How new is this drug? I’m on Ibrance and this Friday I have a pet scan to see if the cancer has progressed. If so I think the doctor will put me on another drug because Ibrance is not working.

So happy for you and Good Luck with the new medicine!

How long have you been on it. A little over a year for me. Neutropenic every month on low dose.

jersey-jazz profile image
jersey-jazz in reply toPraising

The treatment with Truqap began in February at a low dose. I take one pill with breakfast and one pill with dinner. I weigh eighty three so that is plenty. Faslodex is once a month for me as with others. It has been relatively easy. I dry heave a lot which is unimportant. The important side effect which does affect my life but is not painful is this severe exhaustion. The treatment has made it worse if that were possible.I don't really care because the blood results are so good. Noted elsewhere, I go for the PET scan on 4//7/25 which will reveal the true results. I think that it will show cancer stopping dead in it's fast tracks. Good luck to you!

jersey-jazz profile image
jersey-jazz in reply toCriggybear

Truqap was approved by the FDA in very late in 2023.

On April 7, I go for a PET scan and am hopeful that things have shrink or at least not got worse. Thank you!

I just gave a card to a friend of mine that said that hugs were so good because you always get one when you give one. So, I am sending you another hug back to you and I get one because it is reciprocal. So we are set for all the hugs today. Enjoy! XXX OOO

Thank you, Totheriver! Now, I am waiting to go for the PET scan on Monday, the 7th of April. This time, it is a big deal. Hopefully it will confirm that the cancers are reacting favorably to the targeted therapy, Truqap.

The extreme exhaustion is completely affecting my life. I also have pain but, luckily, it is not constant. It is every night until I take pain pills. Sorry to complain. There are so many of you younger and in worse trouble with this monster illness. I am so sorry for you.
