My QOL with TruPaq and Faslodex has been manageable. Usual fatigue. I notice some nausea on the 4 day on cycle. Anti nausea meds help. I was at the gym today if that makes you less anxious. Good luck
I retired 3 years ago but I imagine I could with an accommodation for fatigue.
Your post indicates you live in the US. That means you are allowed to ask for a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. It’s a simple process. Ask HR.
Reasonable accommodations include Flex Time, etc. The ADA says the employer must work cooperatively with you to find a reasonable accommodation.
Sending you hugs and prayers that this treatment protocol will work well for you and that you will be able to continue working and have a good quality of life. Stay strong and keep the faith.
I just started Truqap+Falsodex. I am also on Xgeva (have been for over 6 months). Completed one week cycle of truqap and had my first Falsodex injection. Truqap made me listless and I had no appetite. On my off days I’ve been hungry all the time. I’ll need to find a way to manage that swing better. The Falsodex injections were not the worst, but not the best. The chemo center where I go has two nurses give me both at the same time (not sure if you know, but they split the dose in two so it’s two injections). I was suspect, but they said the body only processes pain in one spot at a time, so you may feel one, but then you are done. Worked great. See if they will do that for you, I had my shots Friday, was very sore yesterday, and today I’m fine. Xgeva had never bothered me. I have them give it in the back of my arm. If it hurts, ask them to go slower. You’ve got this, rock star! Let us know how you do.
I have finished 2 cycles of Truqap, faslodex, xgevia. No problems with injections. No problems with xgevia;I have been on it for about 2 years. Truqap causes diarrhea starting on day3 of pills and continues thru Sat. Also some fatigue. My lab reports show normal for glucose and tumor markers. That is first time for CA 27.28 to be normal since Stage 4 dx! I am glad I don't have to work. Good luck to any one who starts using it!
