Has anyone taking Truqap with no other drug? it seems against what we have been though in high school chemistry to begin two variables at the same time. Then, of course, you never can tell whaat hit you. There is many more gory details to this story which I am too sick to type. Some other time, maybe.

Truqap Alone?
Typo correction; "taught", not "through". Sorry!
was on TRUQAP. Too much diarrhea no matter how little I took. Looking for what is next. What you say?
I guess it would depend on what is being treated. I always have an AI paired with everything, and you are correct, you never can tell what’s working and what’s not. When I was on Truqap it was paired with Fulvestrant as Truqap has interactions with anastrozole, which I was taking. I had a bad experience with Fulvestrant, and Truqap, but you can take Truqap with Exemestane, for what it’s worth. Watch your side effects with Truqap, two months in I developed chronic shakiness and lightheadedness. It’s not a listed side effect, but it is happening. Took about 6 weeks to go away once I went off the drug. I went off because I had major progression in my liver while I was on it.
Oh my ! What are you on now ? ❤️
Enhertu (full dose) and anastrozole. I’ve been on anastrozole so that’s not a new drug for me. Just had me 3rd Enhertu infusion. Minimal side effects. Occasional indigestion, constipation and some fatigue the first week. I have scans at the end of this month. Hopefully this treatment is working on my liver. Otherwise it’s on to something else.
Hi Jersey-jazz
I absolutely refuse to start two meds at once! You are totally correct….you can never tell which med is doing what when you start meds together, or whether they are interacting negatively with each other. I’ve been in healthcare for over 40 years and I am completely baffled by this trend to put pts on a combination of these extremely strong drugs without some adjustment time.
I’m so sorry you are feeling so ill! Stay strong, you are your own best advocate and you’ll have a great deal of support from those of us who are walking this path with you. Please write more as you can. Hugs to you 💕
In the clinical trials that precede FDA approval, they usually compare a medication alone vs. paired with another medication. There is also good reason sometimes to pair drugs that do different things, e.g., an aromatase inhibitor with a targeted therapy. There have been studies that the former's effectiveness is enhanced by the latter. Doing one at a time applies to the experimental development of the protocol, not to every single patient who follows a previously tested protocol.
So sad that you are feeling so sick. I have not been on that drug but it sucks to feel so miserable. A tough road we travel. Here for you💕. Theresa
I figured out that I could avoid diarrhea by prophylactically taking Imodium. I take 2 Imodium on day 1 and 1 tab each of the next 3 days. I drink a glass of Metamucil each day too
I take both TRUQAP and Faslodex. Last month we lowered TRUQAP dosage this better manage bad diarrhea
