Verzenio Monotherapy

I'm wondering if anyone on here is on Verzenio monotherapy. That is just Verzenio, not in combo with anything. I take 200mg twice daily. I began this just over a month ago and wondering if anyone has been on this protocol and seen it help.

To give a background. I was diagnosed first 27 years ago. Stage 1. Then it progressed about 14 years ago and finally became metastatic 7 1/2 years ago.

I had a mastectomy and have done chemo , radiation, aromasin ,arimidex, ibrance( which actually worked well for 5 years !!), faslodex, tamoxifen and xeloda to name a few. This Verzenio is my latest. The side effects have been rough but I'm sticking with it in hopes of getting even more time. I haven't run across more than one person on this treatment and wonder if I could find anyone else to talk about it with.

Thanks for listening. Hoping for good days for all of you !

Good luck! I’m on Verzenio and Letrozole, so can’t help with any answers.

my mom was on Verzenio (150 mg) dosage combined with exemestane. 25 mg. However after being on verzinio for only 1 month she had to suspend it due to elevated liver enzymes which is one of the side effects along with diarrhea and fatigue. But her cancer markers were low and she responded well to verzinio despite liver enzymes. So after next blood work jf her liver enzymes are stable they may lower her verzinio dosage done to possibly 50 mg from 150 mg

I have not heard of anyone taking Verzenio as a monotherapy, but I wanted to ask if you’ve been tested for mutations, such as ESR1 and PIK3CA, things like that. I have the ESR1 after being on Letrozole and am now on Orserdu as a monotherapy.

I’m on Verzenio and Faslodex so can’t help with monotherapy. Diagnosed MBC in 2017. Arimidex only for 5 years then tumor markers climbed to 592. Started Verzenio 150 2X per day and couldn’t take the side effects. Reduced to 100 now tms are 81. I take my hat off to you on 200. I had a 2nd opinion that recommended I start Verzenio and she told me that Verzenio was best accompanied by Faslodex. I know you’ve been on that before but I’d ask my oncologist or maybe a second opinion. It’s just my opinion but 200 seems a lot. Good luck Chris

200 mg Verzenio is actually a lowered dose. The highest, which I was given to start, is 150 mg twice a day, so 300 mg total. The next dose down is 100 twice a day (200), and the lowest is 50 mg twice (100 total).

Sorry I must have misread. So we’re on the same dosage. I’m on 100 2X per day

I’ve read that Verzenio can be used as a monotherapy after other lines have failed. I haven’t ever tried this treatment. The side effects are know to be the most severe in its class of treatment. My digestive problems rule it out as an option, but it may work for you.

I too will begin taking it as a monotherapy once it arrives, so following this thread. It will be my third line of treatment. Ibrance and Anastrozole gave me 7.5 years of stability/NED. Fulvestrant failed me pretty quick once progression occurred. Now onto Verzenio
