Afinitor side effects

I have been in treatment for breast cancer since 2006 and have done the drill - lumpectomy, lymph nodes removal, chemo, radiation, herceptin, Arimidex for six years… then in 2019 a mastectomy, more hormone blockers, and three years of various combinations with Ibrance, which has sadly stopped working

ibrance and arimidex

I’ve had no issues but I don’t have issues with cholesterol. Not sure if that helps. I do take blood pressure meds

Hello eyebrows, my old friend

Was on Arimidex follow up for 5 years and noticed that they never returned. Fast forward to my current ibrance/faslodex and xgeva protocol and more of the same. Unit now. For my birthday, my daughter gave me a cbd facial serum which feels great and makes my 51 yr old skin glow.

Good results from Verzenio

I am also on Arimidex, which I am tolerating better than Letrozole. A bit of stiffness and pain in hips, and I found when I was on it with my original breast cancer that it causes depression. Still, I am generally feeling well and delighted that this 3rd line of Rx is working for now.

Stopping/Restarting Endocrine Therapy?

Prior therapies included: - Arimidex for 5 years prior to progression and MBC diagnosis - iBrance/Faslodex for 2 years - Talzenna for the past year which now seems to be losing its effectiveness. We’re wondering if Letrozole monotherapy might be an option.

New nodules?

Been on Ibrance and Arimidex for 30 cycles for lung metastasis found in May of 2019. I will see oncologist next Tuesday to hear his opinion. Not sure whether to freak or be settled that no activity seen on scan. Opinions?

Estradiol just won't go down

None of my docs understand how my estradiol remains highly elevated (above 100), My T is next to zero, I am lean, DHT in the normal range, taking 3 mg of Arimidex for several months. The estradiol was never checked until after my PSA began to rise after several month of successful BAT therapy.

Ibrance/Arimidex stopped working 😥

After 11 months on Ibrance and Arimidex has stopped working. It came as a big shock as I feel the best I’ve felt since I was diagnosed in Feb 2021. I was HR +/HER2 - bone only with extensive bone Mets.

any experiences to share?

(now in Liver & bones as my arimidex stopped working) My head is spinning and trying to get info on Kisquali vs. Ibrance combo w/ Faslodex. Just want to make the most of everything and be my own best advocate. Any advice or experiences to share would be most appreciated.

Estradiol Resistance to Arimidex with Low T

The doc and I are scratching our heads over the failure a high dose (4g/day) of arimidex to reduce estradiol below 150. I took my last T injection November 1 when my PSA jumped to 9 and then to 12.5 December 1.

6 month follow up scan

He did switch me from Arimidex to Letrozole because of the absolute fatigue and pain. He said sometimes women respond better to one than the other. I’m just 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Second part of scan in comments.

Post Xeloda Options…Enobosarm?

Does anyone have any feedback on Exemestane as a monotherapy after prior progression on endocrine therapy (Arimidex), aromotose inhibitors (Faslodex), iBrance, Talzenna and/or Xeloda?

Brain mets in addition to lung, bone and liver

I am on Ibrance 75 and arimidex. 75 because of low wbc. I had radiation to a spot on spine so I could continue to ride/train horses. Question: I'm reading about so many of you who have been on treatments successfully for 5, 10, 15 and more years.

blurry eyes from medications

I'm on Ibrance and Arimidex. About 6 months ago my eyesight got cloudy and blurry. It is not painful, but annoying. I can drive safely, but I have to concentrate. I have seen my optometrist and after an eye exam he said "you are just getting older." (Really!)

Thinning hair

I’m on Ibrance and Anastrozole ( Arimidex). I would like to get the gray out and do some highlights but thinking that might be too much for my hair. Does anyone get their hair done or should I avoid it? It would make me feel better but worry I might lose more hair.

PSA rising on BAT

We started measuring estradiol (thanks to Friedman's book) a month or so into BAT and it came in at an astounding 200, and then started with 1mg arimidex/day and that got it down to 180, lol. Upped it to 2 for a couple months and now is at 100. (Normal is 15-30) .

Stunned

Stopped taking arimidex and fulvestrant and was put on Ibrance and Tamoxifen. Had another endoscopy two days ago and the doctor said there is absolutely no sign of any cancer there at all and it was pervasive initially. I am absolutely stunned and so grateful!!!
