Aromasin

Have any of you tried Afinitor or Aromasin? How did you manage the side effects? If you’ve used Faslodex, Elacestrant, or heard about these precise radiation techniques, I’d love to know your experiences.

I've been going thru a lot of treatments, I began with ibrance and faslodex, then Afinitor and aromasin, that stopped because I got pneumonitis, the dr then switched me to kisquali and letrozole. After more progression I was on Zeloda.

I had a mastectomy and have done chemo , radiation, aromasin ,arimidex, ibrance( which actually worked well for 5 years !!), faslodex,tamoxifen and xeloda to name a few. This Verzenio is my latest. The side effects have been rough but I'm sticking with it in hopes of getting even more time.

I also take aromasin but the doctor says it's the afinator that's causing the problem. Any suggestions?

Has anyone else had gastric upset and diarrhea from exemestane, aka Aromasin, (or other AIs)? I also have thinning hair, right at the back of my crown so I cannot see it without a mirror. Hard to cover.

On exemestane (Aromasin) since Oct 2022. It's the daily mild jet-lag fatigue that is totally crippling my quality of life so if any of you have any suggestions as to what I can do to stop it, please, please let me know. I am fit and otherwise healthy.

Tamoxifen followed by Aromasin for a total of 8 years...

My oncologist here in Cyprus wants to change my meds to aromasin and avintor and to have a CT and an MRI but I've just had a PET scan? Then go straight to TARE radio embolisation which is hugely expensive.

I'm hoping to swap to another option, one I'd not heard of - Aromasin, also called EXEMESTANE - as the Tamoxifen made my white blood cells plummet to a bad degree and I had no energy at all so had to come off it. If any of you are on the Aromasin, please let me know how you find/found it?

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to Aromasin? My dr thought it was Afinitor that I was allergic to. I started Aromasin again. 5 days later I had a rash all over and my arms and legs are swelled with Lymphodema. It’s really awful. Any suggestions for the rash or Lymphodema.

Now I take Aromasin and Afinitor. Few people seem to be on these meds. Aren’t there newer ones? Please tell me what meds you’re taking for bone and liver Mets. ER+.

Hello, I will be starting Afinitor and Aromasin this weekend. I hope those of you on this regimen can help me b sharing your experiences. I am starting on 5mg for afinitor because my MO wants to observe if there are any side effects I can’t handle.

I was wondering if anyone on efinitor and Aromasin ended up with high blood sugar. I’ve been on this treatment for 6 mos now and the Dr noticed my glucose rising, he said it couid be a side effect of the drugs I’m on. I have to be monitored by my GP.

My doctor agreed I could start on Exemestane (Aromasin) and add Everolimus (Afinitor) when I came home. So, after another fright when it looked like strikes in Reykjavik might cause cancellation, we did actually make it!

Not sure if I go with a parp since I have brca 2 mutation or xeloda or afinitor plus aromasin? Do I go for a trial? Would love opinions or med combos that have worked with those of you with lobular. Thanks! ❤️ Mandy

he discussed my symptoms snd reviewed the PET and charted a course- which includes adding Lupron due to Higher than expected FSH ( follicle stimulating hormone levels which has to do with menopause status) but otherwise staying the course with Verzenio plus aromasin.

The second situation is that because of having a problematic degree of AIMSS (Aromasin Induced musculoskeletal symptoms) I can not longer take the medication. I also am unable to take biosphonate infusions for the developed ostopenia because of ongoing dental/jaw conditions.
