I don’t quite know how to put this, or where this post will end up. I have had super thin/missing eyebrows since iv chemo in 2016. Was on Arimidex follow up for 5 years and noticed that they never returned. Fast forward to my current ibrance/faslodex and xgeva protocol and more of the same. Unit now.
For my birthday, my daughter gave me a cbd facial serum which feels great and makes my 51 yr old skin glow. Using morning and night for the past 4 weeks , I now have my eyebrows back. It’s a silly thing, I realize but thought I would pass on just the same because the winter is really tough on my dry skin. Also helps with the ‘(m)askne’ breakouts I occasionally get with the n95s. She picked it up in either Target or Ulta. Here’s a photo of it if board will allow me to post. I don’t receive any compensation whatsoever for this- just passing info along for something I find works so surprisingly well for me. 😷

thank you for that. I have never thought about my eyebrows until there weren’t any! Ibrance I think. Now I have to colour in face before I go out. I will look for the stuff you have. Hopefully they don’t sprout on my chin.
thank you!!! I have to pencil mine and I miss them so much. For anyone out there, NYX has amazing brow pen. Hairlike. I tried so many until I found this one
thanks so much for sharing, I am going to try and I’m also going to try on my thinning crown! I had really thick hair all my life and now it’s so thin and coming back curly which I can do nothing with ! Hugs to you
I was sold until I saw the BHA content, this is a synthetic petroleum sourced preservative, but no judgement here, I'm just trying to stay away from synthetic and especially petroleum based stuff, that I eat or apply. I'm 64 and have found Boom Products very nourishing for my old hormone depleted skin but they are not cheap!😃
What??? Eyebrows!!! I'm so jealous. Mine went away with my first chemo in 2008 and just a few crazy sprigs have come back since then. I've got to try this. Thanks for posting. This forum is such a great resource.
Let us know if it works for you! I am not a fan of petroleum products, but I am a fan of eyebrows. I will hold off until some of you who said you are going to try it report back.
My eyebrows disappeared as a result of Abraxane. I have very very thin bare brows now when I used to have dark eyebrows that needed plucking to avoid the unibrow look. Of course my chin hairs which I paid a fortune to have permanently removed grow back constantly. I don’t think I can get that product here. 😢 I’ll try Amazon.
I’ve been on Exemestane since 2016 and I shed more hair than the cat and that’s saying something. Dry skin, continuous hair shedding, and dry eyes don’t seem so bad when you first start the treatment but it changes your options. I rarely wear makeup now. I just hope that I don’t go bald or I’ll have to pull out my wig again. On the other hand I’m on the right side of the grass and my Mets are stable. Seems a bit churlish to be complaining 😂
it seems I cannot get cbd jelly posted to New Zealand without customs being involved so it’s back to the eyeliner pencil!but as Kerryd said we’re on the right side of the grass and smelling daisies so who cares.
Dear aqua moron, Such a delight to read thank you for sharing I will definitely be trying it. I too lost eyebrows and considering tattoo permanent make up eyebrows.
I have my eyebrows tattoo'd with the permanent make-up! love, love, love it. always there...before shower, after shower, after a swim. and great for lazy make-up people like me...lol.
when I went thru chemo back in 2013 for the primary BC, all hair was lost...everywhere. for me, I had a more difficult time losing my eyebrows than my head hair. something about eyebrows that define your face...I felt like my face had disappeared. and I knew nothing about drawing them on in the beginning. initially I drew them on like big caterpillars. over time, I learned but it's challenging when you are drawing from scratch.....are they too high? too low? arched? symmetrical? stressed me out....ha!
post treatment/recovery.....I had my eyebrows tattoo'd. they say they are permanent but they do fade over time and need a touch up every couple of years. the most important factor is choosing someone whose work you have seen.....whether in person or online. many have a website or on FB, with tons of pictures of their work.
I have had two touchups since being MBC and my oncologist was okay with it. however, I am not on chemo nor CDK-4-6 inhibitors. check with your oncologist if you decide you want to give it a go. I highly recommend😊. sometimes...it's all about the little things.
I considered the tattoo eyebrows and I asked my oncologist if it would affect MRIs. She said she thought not because ordinary tattoos don’t exclude you from MRIs. I did look at the pricing but got cold feet because I saw too many bad reviews! If they’re done badly you look worse than if you have no eyebrows. The cost was about $600 I think but it was a long time ago and I’m a bit fuzzy memory wise.
yes, Drsalome. I applied it full facially including eyebrows. As for hair on chin, those came back once stopping IV chemo (red devil, taxol and carboplatinum) back in 2016.
My experience is that in the past 4 weeks there was no change with facial hair whatsoever except for my eyebrows even with full coverage. Can’t explain why, exactly, but am passing along in case it could help others.
hi. my eyebrows are partially microbladed and partially 'the powder' method....both just different forms of cosmetic tattooing. I bet yours look great. I'm really happy with my results and glad I did it. (although I am overdue for a touch-up....it has been several years)
however, I realize not everyone a candidate for eyebrow tattoo nor is it for everyone. so I just want to mention to you, Aquamoron, how nice of you to share 'your find'. so happy to hear it is working for you! hopefully others as well. 😊
Thank you so much for posting that! I plan to get some tomorrow! I used to have very long, very think hair AND eyebrows. I have more hair than in my picture above but only about 3-4" has grown in one year. It's hard to live with cancer, but I have many other blessings - a spectacularly loving husband who tells me lies ie. "I like you bald!" "Your head is a great shape.." "You couldn't be more beautiful." We've been married 46 years. We're still crazy about each other. Cancer can' destroy anything unless you let it.
