CT Scan - Update

Hello!

So I received the results of my ct scan today. No major changes, just the enlarged lymph node in my neck has gotten larger. As a result, the Ibrance is d/c’d immediately and my oncologist is considering two possible treatments depending on results of further testing of my biopsy sample. Platinum-based Gemzar if I’m high percentage ER-positive or Immunotherapy with Abraxane if I’m low percentage ER-positive as that is counted as being triple negative, which Immunotherapy has been approved for.

Hopefully coming off of the Ibrance will improve my breathing and coughing as she couldn’t see anything in my ct scan results that could explain the coughing (maybe a hidden lymph node irritating my diaphragm) but I think someone said they knew of people who developed breathing issues on Ibrance. My test results will also let my oncologist know if I should come off of Faslodex and/or Lupron as well. Chemo teaching on October 4th so we should know everything by then. Good news is that this can be worked around my travel plans but we’re playing it by ear.

Thank you for your update on your possible treatments. Please keep us advised. We all learn so much about Stage 4 and possible treatments from each other than what we hear at the Onc's office.

Agreed. It was here that I found out the risk of the chemo-radiation combo, which was later confirmed by my oncologist. I will definitely update as I find out more.
