Scan Results

[Tam-56]

Had good results on CT scan after starting Ibrance and Letrozole in May. I was diagnosed in January left breast ducal carcinoma with spread to left armpit lymph node, lung and hilar lymph node. All areas of spread are reduced in size by half or more - some gone completely in right lung. Hilar lymph node is reduced by 80% and bloodwork normal. I just hope these meds keep working for us all! I feel better emotionally but have terrible sinus irritation. I want to try acupuncture to get my lymphatic system help my body drain this cancer out. Has anyone tried acupuncture?

No I have not tried it. I am very happy that the meds are working so well for you. Hope they continue for a long time. I was on those meds for about two years with almost no side effects. Just a little fatigue and hair thinning. Good luck to you💕

I get acupuncture. It helped me a lot after chemo when I had fluid build up from steroids. It’s excellent for peace of mind and relaxation. What helps my lymphatic system is using a rebounder. You don’t have to jump, just bouncing lightly makes a big difference. I had 14 nodes out. Dry brushing is also good for detox. Glad to hear you had good scan results.

Thank you Sunnydaz, I’m glad to hear someone has tried it. The only experience I have had with acupuncture was when my Bearded Collie was sick with vestibular disease (vertigo) last year. In the hospital for 4 days unable to get up, I heard that one of the vets did acupuncture therapy-I said let’s try it! The next day he stood up and walked! It took several weeks to get back to normal but today he is fine. I will be bouncing and brushing today and looking for an acupuncture therapist. 🤗

Follow Nalie Agustin on IG. She tried acupuncture and it brought her wbc back up from 1 to 4.

Mjmom, Wow that says a lot about acupuncture. It in some way stimulates the immune system. No sure what IG means?

Hello Tam ! Glad you are getting good results with ibrance and Letrozole . I too have had good results so far with the same combination for 12 months and hope it continues for us both.

IG is social media - Instagram . Nalie Agustin is a beautiful inspiring Canadian Breast cancer Metser , now aged 30 , who has been sharing her story for the past 5 years . Unfortunately after 3 years her mets have reappeared this year and Ibrance hasn’t worked for her due to low bloods . But interesting to read as she is a strong character x

Ahh, Instagram I know about! Thank you for the info...I will look up Nalie...so young..but she is a fighter like us all! Let’s hope Ibrance and Letrozole keeps on working. ❤️❤️❤️

I tried 3 sessions of acupuncture for hot flushes a while back and I didn’t see any difference , but that might just be me ! ... I am a bit of a sceptic and need to see medical research ! Mine were free sessions at a Breast cancer centre , (UK), then I had shiatsu therapy there, massage and exercise of my shoulders , which was of more benefit as I had a bad shoulder at the time . Tho’ I was a bit shocked , me lying on a thick gym mat , he used his feet to stretch my back and shoulders ! .. but the therapist was a nice guy and after 5 sessions I saw greater movement in my shoulder . But I hope it works for you and your sinus problem x

Happy for you and your good results. I have tried acupuncture and it helped me. Unfortunately I can’t get back in because I am back to work and it’s not convenient but if I could I would go once a week. Plus it’s a very relaxing and calming atmosphere.
