hi , I am thinking of you going through this, I have MBC in both lungs , I have had headaches for a while and I am so worried it has gone to my brain , I do feel for you , Everything will be alright , keep positive ❤️xxx
Hi, Please let your doctor know about this so it can be investigated. I have MBC in my lungs and bones. When I first learned of this 3 years ago, I also had headaches. I felt a bump on one side of my head and it turned out to be a tumour on my skull. I had radiation therapy on the tumour and since then my headaches have resolved. All the best!
I totally understand how upsetting and unnerving progression is, but think about this: if you’ve only been in Faslodex, you still have so many great therapy options! You will feel better when your onco has a plan.
The time of progression is scary to have to change meds and routines and cope with knowledge of progression but as others have said there’s lots of things to try. think of your cancer journey as a long game of outwitting the opponent ie cancer, with new moves (meds) whilstlooking after your mind /body with compl therapies and doing something new eg a new all engrossing hobby to distract attention so body can get on with healing itself with help of meds.
I am really sorry about the scan results, I have never heard of Mets in the heart. Just make sure you get second opinions. MD Anderson is a great palce for second opinions and ussually covered by insurance. Best of luck! Keep fighting!
Dear Likes, I think research indicates clearly that ribociclib (Kisqali) often works much better, and for more women (especially older women?) than palbociclib (Ibrance). I've been on Kisqali since 2019 with my cancer markers (new cancer cells circulating in the blood) remaining in the normal range. Keep in mind that your existing cancer may remain, but it quits growing. Best of Luck, Cindy
