Metallic taste/itchiness on Zometa, Ibrance and Femara?

I started Ibrance this week and immediately I have detected a metallic taste in my mouth. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what works to control or combat it? I've tried peppermint candies and they don't seem to work. Does anyone itch at night? I've tried Benadryl in the evenings when this occurs and it works some. I also take a Claritin in the morning which seems to help with other side effects of nauseousness.

Originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and developed metastasis in hip, spine and brain in October of 2017. Lesions were very small and I have been prescribed Femara, Zometa infusions and Ibrance. Thanks!

Hi morty87 , thanks for writing. A change in the taste of food is a common side effect that many patients on Ibrance have reported having. This article gives some helpful advice about what you might be able to do to reduce some of the impact:

It might also be best to discuss with your doctor to see if there are other options (not only for the food but the itching, as well).

Hope it helps- please keep us updated when you get the chance. Hope things get better!
