Hi ladies. Has anyone been completely exhausted a week after zometa infusion and 2nd week if ibrance. I just can’t move at all today and it’s making me nervous thanks. 💕

I’m usually at my worst during the last few days of Ibrance and the first few days of my week off. I start to bounce back only then. Can’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference when I get the zometa infusion although I only get zometa every 3 months.

I'm usually exhausted week 3 of Ibrance and the beginning of week off. Also I'm more tired after my faslodex shots. I think exhaustion is just part of all the meds and shots we get. Love, Marianne

I always ask for double bag of fluid after my Zomeda - it DOES really help !!! Also, I seem to be most tired at the end of my 2nd week of Ibrance. (I keep a daily log 🤣 ... and it’s pretty consistent).. and my blood counts seem to be highest at end of second week

Wow glad I found someone with the same issues. The zometa is given to me every 3 months and 4 days after I am down for 3 or 4 days. I also take the fluventral shots on the same day. Thank you for the fluid suggestion. I am due in April again and will ask. Stay well 💕💕

Hi Marianne

I have never had Zometa but I've been on Ibrance for almost 4 years. Yes, 4 years! Although overall I tolerate it well the fatigue is debilitating. Like Sandra mentioned, my fatigue peaks days 18-21. I am blessed to stay home, I "retired" early after my stage 4 diagnosis (if you can call this retirement). I rest when i need to. Somedays I nap, but not always.

Stay strong. Keep the faith.

Namaste.

My wife has Zometa infusions every three months as well, and they warned her that the first infusion would be the worst--and it was! She actually ended up in the hospital for a few days because she not only had severe leg pains, but had temporary paralysis in her legs, which was pretty scary. After that first episode, they slowed the infusion rate down to a 45 minute drip and she has been on it for nearly two years with very minimal effects. She still gets fatigued from the Ibrance/Letrozole combo, but the Zometa has not been a problem since slowing down the flow rate.

In addition to the tiredness, I get lots of joint pain from the Letrozole. (Assuming you are on it too). Cryotherapy does wonders for the joint pain - try it, best thing I have found for the pain!!!!

I found that if I had a LARGE green juice and lots of water that I didn't have side effects. I also had them slow down the drip to twice as long. It worked!!
