Has anyone noticed that now we have a lot of more members of quit support, that there are more blogs and posts to look at, all posted on separate pages. We did have a similar problem a while ago, where we were all dizzy going in and out of different posts.
Eventually we suggested to put any posts etc, apart from questions, on the same page as the daily chat, by putting posts etc in the comment box.
This way people can stay on the same page making it much easier to read.
If anyone has any brighter ideas please let us know.
Meanwhile stay positive and enjoy your day.

I agree when I come back on in the evening cannot remember what comments I have read and have to go through them all. Wasn't part of this site when this happened before but worth a go through. KEEP POSITIVE EVERYONE suecx
I agree as well, it's much easier with everything in the one place, the same thing happens to me as well Suec. Stay strong everyone, hope you all have a great smoke free day xx
Good Morning Everyone, I'm back in the land of the cold now with signs of this crazy weather still showing! Also I'm back in the world of internet and phone reception too, how we managed without (only a few) years ago seems to be unreal!
I'm just going to catch myself up and then will work my way through the gangs of posts and messages but will be around as usual now
Welcome aboard to lots of new members too and congratulations on taking the most positive step forward on your journey to leading a smokefree life, whether you have jumped straight on the fast train to quitting, taking the scenic route to the way ahead or maybe you've even chosen to take the slow boat to freedom... It doesn't matter which way you choose, we'll get you there
The best thing of all is that we're all doing it together
IS THIS A POSITIVE SIGN - Just come out from treatment and two people stood outside the cancer hospital with cigs and I though you shouldn't be doing that not I wish I could have one!! Suecx
Hi Simba , I go regular to the my hospital for check ups after having my lung taken out. So when I see them outside in this weather attached to drips etc, I am so glad its not me. I feel like saying hey look what happened to me because of smoking, but if your so addicted I don't think they take it in.
Hi John, You have a fan of your music my granddaughter (8yrs old ) loves dancing to it, even got a red rose for her to either put in her hair or hold between the teeth. Keep up the lovely music etc.
Hi Everyone
Have just one question, what do you do if the daily chat hasn't been put up and you want to post? Sorry to have to ask but it is not unusual in a morning when I am posting for nobody to have done any other blogs, etc., since the previous evening/night.
I'm more than happy to put my blog or blogs in the comment box of the Daily Chat but if it ain't there, what's a blogger to do, I mean to say people tell me they like my blogs so I wouldn't want them having withdrawal symptoms as that is not a good way to start any day!!
Thank you - now why didn't I think of that!? Probably because my brains on strike preparing for a (very) long weekend of doing absolutely nothing except of course blogging - you lucky or should that be unlucky people (depends on whether you love or hate my blogs I suppose!).
Buttons , You keep us all entertained. We are all as bad. I think coming on here takes your mind off those nasty white things. and it stops you getting cravings. keep on blogging.
Sue- I bet you're glad to be home! Get plenty of rest and take it easy! Hope that you're feeling lots better soon chuck xx
Jilly- Yay, great to see you back!
John- Hopefully Amor will be back to full health soon!
Buttons- Re the daily chat, you could always start the daily chat if one hasn't been posted. I think anybody can 'open' it
My 7 month anniversary is looming- I can't believe it!
The cold weather is still with us but at least the snow has gone. Am looking forward to having a long weekend! Am working Friday but am off then until next Wednesday! Decorator starts next Tuesday, he'll be here 5 days. Have got the living room etc to clear and paitwork to wash down. It'll be worth it, it needs freshening up!
I haven't had any cravings for a while now and nor have I dreamt about smoking. Got a bit of a virus, prob due to this weather, not a got a cold, but have a sore throat and a cough.
Well tis time for me to have a shower and put mi jim jams on! I shall have to see what's on telly.
Hello Chickles, It must be a Yorkshire sore throat and cold. I too have had a bit of a sore throat. Have to go to the docs now every time I think I have a cold or similar. This 1 lung job aint easy. get a check up next week at St James. I am going to do the same as you soon off in a bath .and jim jams and cosy dressing gown on and settle down. Lovely to hear from you. xxx
That's brill Chickles, it's always nice to hear from people way down the line who can come back and say - hey no cravings any more, well only now and again. Hehee, can't wait, although I've not had a bad week myself up to now. Take care with the virus, it could turn nasty. My sister, grandson, daughter, mum, dad and husband have all had it, only me that hasn't!! My poor husband has been like a leper this week, sleeping in the spare room, both of us wearing gloves to make drinks and things If I get that I would be hell to live with so we are being very careful Seriously though it seems to be more like flu than a cold so hope you soon feel better.
For anyone who doesn't know, or is interested in what is happening with the NHS on 1 April (well 2nd as it's Easter Monday on 1st). Here is a link to the BMJ
Hi Jan, Congratulations on reaching 7 months nearly, it's brill that you haven't had any cravings for a while you must be really proud of yourself, as you should be

Ooh, I don't know. As far as I could see it went out to everyone on health unlocked which covers other support groups besides this one. Maybe they didn't send it out to everyone.

haha, just a thought but maybe they sent it to me cos am a bit of a political rebel I honestly don't know, maybe they just sent it to a cross section of users picked out at random?
Night Sue, sweet dreams and hope you sleep well, bet you're glad to be back to your own bed.
I SAW SMOKE COMING FROM A CHIMNEY ...
Walking to work as I do every day - believe it or not, I also walk home every day as well - there is a lovely row of stone cottages near where I work but on the opposite side of the road. They are lovely to look at with their small wood windows and cottage gardens but I digress, the middle one of the block was sending out a plume of smoke this morning from its chimney. It was the only one that was but it took me back to when I was very young and we had open fires at home and we had a 'coal ole' as well as! Anyway, seeing the smoke got me thinking - dangerous at any time but extremely so in the early morning hours - now I am smoke free (day 16 and so far so good) as are a lot of other people on this site, does it mean that we have to move and go to live in a smoke free area! Not that I particularly want to move as I like where I live and our little bungy and our neighbours but in the same way that the government can make areas smoke free zones, can they make us go and live there now that we don't create smoke or add to the smog! Hey,only a thought - don't shoot the messenger please!! and I promise I won't mention it again.
Has everyone had a good day today? Hopefully the answer will be a resounding YEA!!! It's lovely to read the 'pieces' from all the different members as I find this makes me feel a part of what is going on and it's nice to keep track of who's who and what stage they're at in the quitting process. It's also great to see that you weren't unique in some of your past experiences as some are going through exactly what you went through and it's lovely to be able to reassure them that what they feel is normal and they will come out the other side fine and very soon too! For me the only down side is the fact that working 5 days a week and there being no computers were I work (honest, I kid you not we don't have a single, solitary one!), I can only look at and perhaps add to the site morning and evening and it doesn't feel right somehow answering a question that someone asked 10 or 12 hours ago, hence I tend not to but that may change if everything is on the one post like today's is/are - well you know what I mean hopefully.
My other half is watching England play football - will never understand the fascination of the majority of men for 'the beautiful game' which they called football which does not make me think beautiful at all. In fact to me, it's just 22 supposedly grown up (little) boys fighting over one spherical object!! At least it keeps him quiet and means that I can spend time in the N.S.A. (NO SPORT ALLOWED) room and I can blog away to my hearts content with no interruptions. Peace, quiet and tranquility, what more could any woman ask? except for it to happen more frequently but I suppose (actually I know) I would miss him if he wasn't here although there are some nights when we may not say more than 6 words to each other. When he's out it's just too quiet - poor b****r can't win - damned if he's in and damned if he's out!.
This will, hopefully, very much appeal to the Yorkshire folk among us, what others think - well, perhaps I will find out?
God was bored and went missing for six days. The Archangel Gabriel found him resting on the seventh day.
"What have you been up to?" he said.
"I've created the planet earth and it will be a place of great balance."
"Balance?" said Gabriel.
God explained.
Norther America would be wealthy and South America would be poor. "Over there I've placed a continent of white people, and over there a continent of black people."
God talked of different countries.
"That one will be hot and that one will be covered with ice."
Gabriel was impressed and pointed to an area in England and said: "What's that?"
"Ah," said God, "That is Yorkshire, the most glorious place on earth, there will be beautiful lakes, streams, rivers and hills. Great music, architecture and sporting giants. The people from Yorkshire will be modest, intelligent and witty. They will be sociable, hard working and high achievers. They will be known throughout the world as diplomats and peace-makers."
Gabriel gasped in admiration, thought for a moment, and then said: "But what about balance, God? You said there will be balance."
"Ah," said God, nodding sagely, "Let me tell you about Lancashire ..... "
I think that now is the time for me to wish everyone a good nights sleep with sweet dreams - remember together we can do this - we will win the fight!
