Yesterday - roll ups = 2, Gill = 0. Therefore not good at all. Off for Chest X-ray today, maybe that might knock some sense into me. I saw an article on here from one of the advisors - it was Very interesting. All about the addiction of Acetaldehyde in tobacco, this too helps keep us addicted seemingly. Helps me understand why all the Gum, Patches, Lozenges only partially help - for the Nicotine of course. SO, at least its more information that may help me understand why this is so bewildering and difficult. Going to stay away from that "first puff" as long as I can today. Snowing hard here in Aberdeenshire, hope it's better for some yo lucky folk in the South, Best Wishes to all here, Gill.
Oh dear...: Yesterday - roll ups = 2, Gill =... - Quit Support
Oh dear...
Thank you John, how you all have such patience on here, with folk like myself who keep going for a smoke again. It is a credit to you all... such generous people. One things for sure, each day I try, I'm so determined not to give up trying - until I'm a non-smoker. It's the only thing that really makes me feel a little better. I get so terribly angry with me for giving in. Thanks again, Gill.
I know how hard your self esteem takes a knock when you give in to theose urges and light up, Iv'e been there many a time but now smoke free for over 8 weeks using champix! which I have found so helpful. I tried NRT over the years but became addicted to the chewing gums.
Anyway whatever path you choose and is right for you, the very best of luck.
You can do it if you really decide you want to.

Keep at it Gillyflower, we have all been there and fallen off the wagon, but just get up and dust yourself down and think tomorrow is another day
Hi Gillygirl..you are not the first nor will you be the last..as long as you keep trying..you will get there And Md is right ..guilt trips and beating oneself up is not the way to go..does no good. Good luck with quit jan
Hi ya Gill
Erm I think the others have said most of it but dont blame yourself, cos its ''nic'' that you have to blame so dont beat yourself up eh
You will do it when, and only when you are ready to, just sit yourself down, and have a good think about it
